Just had a fantastic meal at this place! It's cliche but I have to call it a hidden gem! The food was so unbelievable delicious! Was here a year ago while at the fun East Northport festival. Decided to stop in again. Was not even close to being disappointed. The place was filling up quickly with the festival underway. The bar tenders were friendly and immediately greeted us through busy (which is a must as far as I'm concerned) and they turned out to be excellent. We started with the buttery lobster sliders...omg so fresh and buttery...no MP..only $20 and more lobster meat on the 3 sliders than most rolls anywhere. I had an IPA followed by wine to go with my meal. At $10 for the Mondavi hous...
I visited Riley's in East Northport on Sunday, November 5, and it was a terrible experience. To be honest, a rating of 1 is too generous. After waiting for at least 30 minutes, my food arrived cold. My friend received her fish and chips before I got my salmon sandwich. The waitstaff seemed more focused on socializing at the bar than attending to customers. We had to request napkins, a plate, water, and ketchup. The customer service was nonexistent. One waitress was even wandering around in a wool cap and long sweater. I’ve visited this restaurant several times, and the food and service have always been excellent. The staff is wonderful, but I can't help but notice that the prices are outrageous—$30 for two glasses of house wine? On the same night, my friend mentioned the food was disgusting and soggy, which is disappointing to hear, as I've come across similar complaints from others recently. It's a shame that when things start to decline, it's usually the food and prices that suffer first. I really hope things get back to normal soon.
The staff is just as impressive—super friendly and genuinely caring about their customers. They really know how to provide great service! And for beer enthusiasts like me, the selection of tap beers is fantastic, featuring a rotating lineup of top-notch options, and you can tell they take care of the lines. The service was disappointing, from the bar to our table. I wish the bartender didn't have the smell of cigarettes lingering around him every time he walked by. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the positive reviews we'd seen before. We recently moved to the area and were looking forward to finding a local spot that was casual and welcoming. Regrettably, this place didn't meet our expectations.
I had the chance to dine at Riley's East this past weekend, and what a delight it was! This restaurant is fantastic. The service was friendly, the cocktails were delicious, and the atmosphere was wonderful. Be sure to try the chicken gumbo—you won't regret it!
I have taken food out from Riley's a few times. Each time has been great. The staff is always friendly and the owner Brett Hughes is a great guy. The food is always delicious. I definitely recommend Riley's East.

The food is excellent, and the atmosphere is lovely. I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet it often is during my visits. Be sure to try the meatloaf!
