Ripley Curry Garden

I’ve visited this establishment on many occasions, friends family and it’s always five star. This particular occasion my friend from Dartford joined me and we opted for duck dishes as these are rare amongst curry houses. The Duck cashew a unique dish I’ve never seen anywhere else. It’s quite simply one the best mains I’ve ever had from a curry house. My mate have never tried anything like it and he was of the same opinion. During our evening out we sampled a couple of the bottles red, which were a great accompaniment to our main and also great value. Would never hesitate to come back and will be soon

Go here for our Curry Club once or twice a year and always a fabulous experience (particularly when Paul Weller pops in for a takeaway) but this week their first poor showing. I ordered a slightly spicy curry with ginger but was served my mate’s Naga in error which was VERY hot. The owner guy said oh that would have a kick after I’d eaten a few mouthfuls but no apology whatsoever and not just a burning mouth (naga peppers are VERY hot) but I woke at 3am with a burning mouth after some reflux I guess and literally could not breathe!! A fairly nasty morning after too if you catch my drift

I visited The Ripley Curry House to get takeout and was impressed with the flavors and textures of the meat madras. Having recently moved away from the West Midlands, known as the curry capital of Britain, I can say that the dish I had here was the best I've had in nearly thirty years in the Midlands. While it was a bit more expensive than what I was used to, the quality and taste of the food made it well worth the extra cost. I will definitely be returning when I am in the area again. I hope they consider opening another restaurant in Powys, where I now reside.

As soon as you step inside, the staff are welcoming and attentive. The restaurant is consistently busy, so it's advisable to call ahead and make a reservation to ensure you get a table. The quality of the food is excellent, and there is a wide variety of dishes to choose from. We’ve been visiting here for a few years. The food top quality. The Waiting staff are friendly, smiling, caring. Shaking hands with people to welcome them in. The atmosphere is friendly and the lighting and decor is lovely relaxing. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. How lucky you are if you live nearby. We look forward to visiting again when we are in the area.

This is probably the best Indian meal I have ever had. The staff is fantastic, the food is amazing. What more could you ask for? Definitely worth a visit.

A highly spiced dish with a frenzy of chilli!!!! The lamb was so tough it was inedible and the spice and chilli nowhere...
