I have been coming here for years. Whereas previously quality was always consistent at a 3 to 3.5 level, now sometimes it is good and sometimes it is decidedly not. Most recently had a very bad experience, both with the service and my food. Yet, on my last visit in June, everything was fine. This most recent time was enough to put me off ever returning. We were in a large group and they mixed up all of our orders. Three servers (none the person who took our order! came out with handfuls of plates and started shouting out the names of dishes and placing the food down in front of people who said I didn 't order that! They didn 't care! They just wanted to get rid of the plates! My mother had o...

I 've lived here for about 11 yrs and had never eaten at Rips. Fiancé and I decided to try them last evening (Saturday) for dinner. I probably won 't be back as the food was subpar to me. And I 'm not a foodie. The customer service was EXCELLENT but the food just wasn 't good. Upon suggestion, we got the crab soup as appetizers. It was heavily topped with meat and though the Soup was tasty, the consistency was more of a thick dip, than a soup. Then I ordered the chicken Chesapeake which was topped in what felt like the same soup and crab mixture and the chicken was dry. There was no seasoning on the chicken. I ate as much as I could. Then we ordered several cheesecakes for dessert to go. Whe...

Grabbed a bite to eat at Rips the other day. We started out with a cup of cream of crab soup. The soup was creamy with pieces of lump crab meat on top. It was pretty good. The we had the fish and chips and their version of a French dip. The fish and chips were a little costly, but you got two nices pieces of fish(need more seasoning) fries and coleslaw. The dish was nice and hot. The French dip was basic beef(need more seasoning) and cheese on a sub roll. It came with au jus for dipping, fries. The service was good, but then again the restaurant was not busy. The menu seems a little pricey, but I think Rips is worth a try.

The locals suggest that we dine at this restaurant while in town. The interior is very cool, especially the small bar area. There were no issues with the service, as at least five different people made sure our needs were met. The soups were average, with the Maryland crab soup containing more vegetables than crab. The cream of crab was delicious and had a generous amount of crab meat, although it was a bit too thick for my liking. The sandwiches were also just average, with the turkey sandwich being good and the green beans and stuffing being enjoyable. Overall, it's an okay place to dine. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

Pure Maryland! From crabcakes on a club sandwich to pulled pork and a cozy atmosphere that's so hard to find these days... And, here's kind of a big deal if you're dining with someone you actually like; you can TALK to each other without loud music blaring down at you. After you're done, take a stroll around to the remarkably stocked and merchandised liquor store and the deli. On the run? The same great food is available in the deli as the restaurant! After two trips in the past month, I'm a BIG Rip's fan!

We just had lunch at your restaurant. It was very busy. We were seated in a booth in the bar area. Our waitress was Dawn. She was the only staff person in our area. In addition to the booths and tables in the bar area, she was doing all the service from the bar. This included the people sitting at the bar as well as drinks for the entire restaurant. She was extremely efficient with it all. Great job. Thank you Dawn!

Dined at Rips tonight, one of the most comfortable restaurants in the area. They offer excellent food, private booths, and good choices of wine and beer. Love their seafood dishes, and dinner salads! The bar area now offers more private seating. The upgrades look wonderful! The equestrian theme is casually elegant. Service is excellent. I'm never disappointed, and can count on a good meal at a fair price.

Wow! This was our first time here and it won’t be our last. Everything was perfect from the service to our dinner and dessert! The waiter D was very knowledgeable about the menu and was so funny! We really enjoyed our meal and the whole experience. Can’t wait until the next time. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

Always a pleasure to visit the Rip's Country Inn. Been going there for about 40 years now. Their cream of crab soup is among the best in all of Maryland! Their service is always terrific, too. I highly recommend a visit to Rip's!
