I made the mistake of leaving my card there overnight as I forgot it somehow. Called that night and they told me I could pick it up when they opened on Sunday. Went in when they opened and they couldn't find it and told me to come back at 3 when the bartender from last night comes back in. So I waited around in the area as I live 45 minutes away. When I get there the bartender tells me to wait until 4 so the guy can open the safe as he was running late. The guy comes and tells me they do not have my card despite what they had said over the phone and for me to cancel my card. The beer is pretty good. The food isn't great. We had the pork nachos, and it seemed to be covered in Cheese Whiz. Many people were ordering pizza. That may be the way to go. We sat at an outdoor table near the bar. The view was beautiful, but the music was really bad and really loud. We had to yell to hear each other. They may have been trying to drown out the noise from the waste incineration plant next door or the music from the wedding upstairs. I wish they would lower the volume and play reggae music instead--or even some cool tiki bar music. That would be awesome. The restrooms were disgusting, but that may not be the staff's fault. There were a lot of kids.
it was very loud, even for a Friday night made the music hard to hear each other. the pizza was tasty, but the fishtacos leave much to wish. the beer was good. we decided to go outside just to get there and find out they don't serve outside. no problem, I understand that so many places are underused and it is still a little cool. we still decided to order the bar and sit outside. my only handle is that the outdoor option should be taken from the OpenTable list until they open the beautiful terrace. the staff was very nice, I hope they'll be well paid.
We had a large group of 20+ in our party to which I made a reservation in advance. We had lunch with a stunning view of the water and boats at the marina. The entire staff are friendly I have to give a shout out to our server Brianna, she was so sweet, checked in on us, went above and beyond and took great care of our party. There were plenty of great options to choose from and the food was delicious and cooked well!
first of all, when they feel going into them, as if they go into a Chuck E cheese or a dave and busters. there are video games and throw axe. second, I ordered 2 margaritas and they brought it to us in regular times. the drinks. I then ordered a margarita pizza that came out as if it dropped it..and it tasted like frozen pizza very rough....2 drinks and a small pizza 45 dollar. not the trip.
Food, drinks and service were all great. Very fun and kid friendly atmosphere. The price of most items was fair but kids meals were overpriced, and we paid $4 for each kids lemonade on top of that (even though one was half water, half lemonade). The arcade games are very affordable which nearly made up for this minor annoyance on what is otherwise a great establishment.
Love River Outpost!! Great place for any kind of gathering; dinner with friends, date night, families, etc. They have options if you're gluten free celiac. I got the white pizza on cauliflower crust and the chopped salad. Service is always great. The outdoor bar is a must in the warmer months! Can't beat the view!!
I highly recommend River Outpost. The pizza is really delicious. The staff is very friendly, professional and very helpful and quick. The views are breathtaking of The Hudson River!
