An amazing beach thru and thru. Been going here my whole life and have experienced it now for about 4 decades! Good amenities, adequate parking and always well maintained. The water is amazing sometimes but other times too cold and/or too rough; it can be full of sea weed, full of jelly fish or closed due to sharks. It can get very crowded on weekends but weekdays are tranquil! Sometimes the sand has washed away but will be typically replenished by the following summer if this happens. I've been here quite a few times over the years with my best friend. We truly enjoy it and become so engulfed in our beach days that the time seems to fly quickly. It's a very serene and tranquil beach. It’s quite clean and not as congested as other Long Island beaches. There is plenty of parking and the restrooms are clean.I also love the fact that the beach is just a short distance from the parking lot. There’s a wonderful restaurant at this beach that offers drinks, food, and ice cream, with a variety of options to choose from. Restrooms and shower facilities are located right next to the restaurant. Additionally, there’s a paid pedi-cab service available in the parking lot that can take you to Kismet. Keep in mind that it’s not very easy to bike around this area, as bikes aren’t allowed on the boardwalk and the alternative paths are quite gravelly.
Overall, we had a fantastic time at this beach! It’s perfect for a relaxing afternoon on a hot summer day.
There should be pathways through all entrances of the beach. It was so difficult pulling my cooler in the sand. If you don’t have a “sand friendly” cooler or stroller prepare yourself for this difficulty. The waves are harsh! Even brutal one would say, but this beach is still very nice.Restrooms: The Showers while a lovely touch are also very nasty! Nasty women leaving their pads and tampons just thrown on the ground in the showers. Disgusting!

Fishing here is fantastic! If you have a 4x4 permit, you'll find there's less walking involved. I would have given it a five-star rating, but they restricted 4x4 access to most fishing areas during the Piping Plover nesting season. The dunes are already protected year-round, which I support. Just a heads up: they also restricted access for electric bikes.
Not as much to do as Jones Beach but still a great beach to visit. I have been going here since I was a child and have enjoyed every visit. If you want a change of pace, field 2 has an 18 hole par three golf course with enough variety of play to keep you coming back.
Great beach with plenty of space for all.You can either be up close to the waves or hang back by the dunes and enjoy the best beach on Long Island. They have facilities, and up at the concession, you can grab a cold drink!
I am extremely thankful to my boss for arranging such a delightful day at the beach in the picnic area. We brought our food and blankets, as it was a bit chilly until we got into playing and dancing.
