Second time of visiting. The first time I gave a 4*. This time, disappointing. Took ages to be served while I was waiting a man with his dog came in went into the kitchen area, as he knew the chef. Firstly, I don't agree with a dog being in a food area if you're running a business. Secondly, the chef bent down was stroking the dog then went back to serving the food without washing his hands which is not very hygienic. Thirdly, when the food came the bacon wasn't crispy as asked very fatty. The toast had only been buttered in the middle so rest of it was dry. I went to this restaurant for lunch. The food was overpriced for what you received, which was just average and only warm. The staff, except for the owner, were lovely. When I expressed my concerns to the owner, her attitude and hard demeanor were absolutely appalling. She seemed to believe she was never wrong. If you lack customer service skills, I don't think you should be in this line of work. I will not be returning to this restaurant.
After spending four days in Dartmoor, we returned to Ivybridge in search of a hearty breakfast before catching our train. Rochelle's more than delivered. The friendly service, delicious food with a wide variety of options, picturesque views of the river, and inviting atmosphere make it a fantastic choice for a meal.
My colleague and I decided to have breakfast at this restaurant and ordered the full English breakfast for £9. It was of really good quality, well-cooked, and looked appetizing on the plate. The staff were excellent. I would give it full marks.
