I came in and there was no clear signage in regards to any hostess seating, etc. I stood in the doorway for about 10 minutes before seating myself. I sat for another 10 minutes and the only greeting I got was to ask me to get up. I had no issues with that, but did explain there was nothing indicating a hostess or hostess stand. I wanted to take a moment to offer feedback. This was our first time at the restaurant. We had reservations for 5:30 this evening. We were very disappointed with the service. Our waitress never offered refills; we had to flag a guy down for them. After they dropped our food off, no one came to check on us to see if we needed anything. Then, we once again had to flag down someone walking by in the hall for more refills, boxes and the check. For a meal of $101., I can honestly say disappointed is the correct word. My husband and I had wanted to dine at the Rod and Gun Club many years ago, but we were unable to afford it at the time. It faded from our minds until last week, 40 years later, when someone mentioned it on Facebook. Our visit was fantastic, and the food was outstanding! If you go there, be sure to ask for a waitress named Paula and have Mike recommend the best dishes on the menu, along with sharing some fascinating history about the place. The filet and ribeye steaks were excellent, as were the onion rings and red velvet cake! We are so happy to have discovered this hidden gem!

I dined here for dinner, and the overall experience was great! The price per person was around $20–30, which I found to be reasonable for the quality. The food was impressive, earning a solid 4 out of 5. The highlight of my meal was definitely the fried mushrooms, which I highly recommend. The service was outstanding, receiving a perfect 5 for attentiveness and friendliness. Additionally, the atmosphere was equally delightful, also scoring a 5. I would definitely recommend this place!
Family of 5 visited we had filet, strip and shrimp. Lyonnaise potatoes, curly fries, green bean, mac and cheese and baked potato. Everything was great. Filet and strip were outstanding. Cooked perfectly. Shrimp was breaded perfectly and not over cooked. Portions were generous. This was the best steak I have had in years. I HIGHLY recommend. Staff was very attentive and pleasant. Prices reasonable.
