This has to be one of the worst reviews i have ever written about a place,not to make me sound nasty,but i will never come here again nor would i recommend. Popped to port talbot for a little shopping with my daughter,i asked a lady on the lottery stall where can we go in here for something to eat,she replied the cafe upstairs is quite nice. So off we trot to the escalator to go upstairs, found cafe only one upstairs) one table left so we asked a young girl working there is this table free and she rather abruptly replied I dunno as she chomped on her chewing gum. We should have left there and then but my little girl was very hungry.a lovely elderly lady heard this and said i will sit by here...
Absolutely love this place, defiantly become a regular, the ladies in there made me and my wife feel so welcome, food is outstanding. I absolutely recommend the toasties as they are to die for, always such a busy cafe as everyone loves the food there, younge waitress's are so dam polite, as the women behind the counter doesn't hesitate to have a laugh with you, all the women there are outstanding and lovely to talk too. My wife always orders the turkey dinner and never once had a problem, she loves your gravy too lol. food is always on time, understandable if there's a wait as the cafe is forever busy, lovely gentle man who works there always chats to customers as they are his friends, never...
I want to mention how friendly the staff are at this cafe. Nothing is too much trouble whenever I am here, whether I am alone or with my family, I always receive the warmest welcome. I often come here by myself because I feel comfortable and at ease, unlike in other cafes. The food is consistently high quality and very enjoyable. My late aunt used to love coming here for the delicious corned beef pie and gravy, and the staff always accommodated her requests without complaint. I just want to say to all the staff at Rolls Choice, thank you for the great food and welcoming atmosphere. I will continue to return for the excellent service. P.S. I absolutely love the Welsh cakes too.
Went for food with my children today, what a lovely clean place with a 5star rating. My little one dont each much so they done a bowl of mash veg and gravy for the baby he loved it, they brought this out 1st so i could feed the baby before my food comes out (which i found was a great help) i had pastie pie and chips lovely big piece of home made pastie and it was lovely and hot! My other child had chicken nugs beans chips and wanted cheese on top lady said not a problem childs meal come with free drink too. My partner and I were warmly welcomed by the staff, who were very polite and helpful when taking our order. When our food arrived at our table, it was excellent. This has to be the best breakfast in the center of Port Talbot. It may not be the cheapest, but the fried potatoes are superb. If you're in town, I highly recommend it.
a decent amount of shops, although some have closed. still a decent place to visit, wide open central area. directly next to the bus station and the city center.
