What a hidden gem! A few of us decided to try Roots again tonight and they have recently changed the public restaurant and it is absolutely lovely. Small enough to be quaint and large enough for many people. The server was outstanding. She recommended the lemongrass bowl and the curry chicken and both of our meals were served piping hot and so much flavour and great portions. Very reasonably priced. Our lovely server also told us about daily specials such as 1/2 priced appetizers and even a prime rib night! This place can be a bit off the beaten track to find but trust me, totally worth finding it. We will be back again and again.
I ordered beef short ribs with Merlo demi sauce. The waitress said they could remove all the night shades and I still got to have sauce on my meal! (restaurants generally just remove all the sauce instead of altering it for me) The meat was moist and tender and the vegetables were perfectly cooked (with butter I think). However, I did get fairly sick from my meal unfortunately, so there was something left in it that irritated my stomach.
I had a brunch with a friend here a few weeks ago. I had the brisket benedict. it was delicious. it was my first time in the restaurant in a few years. the new location is so sweet and picturesque. the service was a little slow this morning, but eating was hot and fresh. I love the gluten-free accusations that they can make for many of the meals. I'm always happy to go to the breakfast here.
especially the food was delicious! we drove regina on our travel through and so glad that we chose this restaurant. carmelita was our server and she was absolutely beautiful! she made the meal and experienced a 5 stars. chill vibes, what exactly was what we needed after a long day of diving. highly recommended.
I was pleasently surprised by this place. To start, its tucked away in Harbour Landing. I had not heard much about it but a friend recommended it. Wow! What great food. I love ordering takeaway from here. Their salads, their ribs, delicious. Would recommend, and will return and order again.
2021 in the apartments only it area due to pandemic) had a tour and excellent executive cook preview. local food provided when coming in the season. great meals for great prices and dessert and children's menu. also high chairs and a beautiful room with books to keep children included
Delicious food, cozy atmosphere, and great staff. It's a perfect place to go to sip on some hot mocha and get away from the cold weather. I recommend getting the apple crisp with the ice cream and trying the coconut vodka mule cocktail.
Waited about 30 minutes to get a table. Nice ambience. Good Italian Sausage Skillet and Prairie bomb cocktail. My pal had to get his food reheated as it wasn’t served hot. Server was wonderful and got us 30% off our bill.
Second time being here and it was perfect, used for a business meeting and the atmosphere was ideal. Would highly recommend eating hers or taking out. You won't regret it.
