Home style Soul Food at it 's Finest! A-1, Rosie 's!! Phenomenal. I had the Smothered Pork Chops, Candied Yams, and Okra 'n Tomatoes, With a slab of Dark Chocolate Cake. Only complaint? Cake WAS just a LIIIITTLE BIT dry. But everything, and everyone,else was STELLAR. Highly recommend to all and sundry. And ...that GRAVY?? Man! My first time in this place and it wasn't what I expected from looking at the reviews. I ordered the oxtails with rice, collard greens, okra tomatoes. The entire meal was way too salty for my taste and overcooked. More of a mushy texture like baby food.Oxtails had a lot of fat on them but tender and the rice was sticky/clumpy. In my opinion, I believe some days you just don'tknow what you're going to get. It's a hit or miss. Staff was courteous and hospitality was good, but food needs improvement.Just my opinion ya"ll
Unbelievable food! Stopped in for the first time and was greeted with a big smile. The confidence in their food was demonstrated through the employees serving the food. And there was no disappointment whatsoever. My wife had the pork roastwith rice and I had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes. EVERY bite was remarkable! This place is a must try! I had the oxtails, greens, black eyed peas and peach cobbler The food is so darn good and you can tell it's made with love.
