Absolute must-do! We met Ollie (our ranger) at the triangle car park and we left on time to meet the lovely highland cows. He is very knowledgeable and chats away from feeds to silly stories of the moo's. The experience itself was fabulous, Ollie bought snacks for the moo's so they were happy to see us. Also saw a few extremely adorable calves. There are also lots of other activities within Rothiemurchus so just go, you won't regret it. Absolutely stunning part of the Country. Beautiful mature Woodland. Stunning Loch with sandy beach. Great well maintained woodland paths and picnic areas. Our teenagers had a blast riding the quad bikes, and prior experience wasn't necessary at all. We wanted to stop more often to take photos, but we weren't sure if that was allowed and didn't want to hold up the rest of the group. We visited on a weekend, there was no wait, and I definitely recommend making a reservation.
