I used to go to Rudy’s Hideaway many years ago and it was the bomb. The lobster was big, thick and fluffy. I was very very disappointed when they brought me my 14 16 oz lobster. It was like the used a meat pounder on it. It was very flat which took away the rich flavor of the lobster. The rest of the meal and desert were great, but the $100.00 lobster (flat pancake) was a BIG disappointment!!! I wont be going back; Red lobster is my new go to lobster house.
This is one of those places that seems like it has been around for 75 years, but has never got caught up with being the trendy place to go. Same consistent quality with last weekend's visit that I encountered on my first visit 30 years ago. A comfortable atmosphere, generous portions, reasonable prices for what you receive, and great service. If you are in the eastern Sacramento area and want great surf and turf, give this place a try.
Had the filet mignon and lobster $73. The filet was perfect mid-rare and tender. The garlic mashed was well seasoned with perfect consistency. The lobster seemed slightly overcooked and was a bit rubbery. Our server was Sergio and he was excellent.

This time was a take out order. Rudy's isn't just for dinner. The lobster ravioli was amazing. The seafood Louie salad and the prime rib French dip sandwiches were awesome, too. I can't wait to go back.
Had the prime rib sandwich it was old tasting always had great food here but was very disappointed in this meal. Probably will not go back . service is always great though..
We heard they serve a delicious escargot. So delicious we ordered two servings. Also ordered steak and lobster and steak and shrimp. Totally awesome.
Fantastic meal! Prime rib, scampi, salmon excellent... As were the sides. It server, Jason, made it such a pleasant experience. Can't wait to return!

Rudy's has great food, service and atmosphere. The most recent visit had a fairly good sized crowd.
We had prime rib it was excellent very very tender, probly the best I have ever had.
