Food was decent, we had a table of 8 and they messed up one of the orders which was ok. There was also a 3% charge if you do not pay with cash which was also ok as we had cash. The part that got me is the handwritten receipt.. you can see here that it is very difficult to read. We didn’t notice at the time but the total was $159 and then it jumped to $185 so the waiter gave himself a $26 tip. This is common for a large party except for he failed to mentioned this and it was not listed anywhere on the messy receipt so we ended up double tipping. When we first got the check, I asked about splitting the bill and the server acted like it was going to be a lot of work (I think so we don’t notice...
I have been visiting Rudy's Mexican Restaurant in Monrovia for more than 20 years, and it’s my favorite Mexican restaurant in Los Angeles. It's family-friendly, offers delicious food, has a cheerful atmosphere, and serves fantastic Margaritas! My friends and family, both in Monrovia and the broader San Gabriel Valley, all agree: Rudy's is the best!
Not enough start to rate tis place. Staff is wonderful, and treat you like family (the ones you like and that like you back, not the anoying relatives), prices are fair, and quality of the food is spectacular. Not strong recommendation goes to my go to favorite the Beef El Gigante Burrito. This turned into my family Sunday lunch spot.
Not really sure what is the best dish. Definitely not the chicken tacos. I got 2 soft tacos for $16 ridiculous price. The chicken was terrible, I picked up the taco and it fell apart. Worst money spent. How do you make a wet soggy taco and the chicken is dry. Ridiculous never coming here again. Not worth a star.. worth -5 stars. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Loved it. Food was high quality and delicious. A friend of mine said he didn't care too much for the food when he visited last year. That was definitely not our experience. The food and service were both great when we visited. No complaints. We will definitely be returning.
The service here is outstanding. However, the food falls short of that same quality. I’m willing to pay for a good steak, but unfortunately, it simply didn’t live up to expectations this time. A menu update might be beneficial for this place.
Random stop in Monrovia, and this place was delicious. Had great flavor and a home cooked atmosphere. The waiter was very kind and gave great suggestions.
