Leave a 1 star review if you paid $5 for parking. Only Boston/New Hampshire would make patronizing a business cost you money, possibly the whitest thing I’ve seen on the east coast. There is also no recycling or any public investment beyond the *wonderful* picnic tables. Kind of hilarious in the “live free or die” state to force your customers to pay and you’ll see the confusion on every persons face. 1:20 pm on a Sunday and out of bisque and our bag was a mess. $50 and you have Lays instead of an actual east coast chip company. Go to a restaurant or really anywhere else. Bring $100 bills for this meal.
The classic lobster pound experience is simply delightful, enhanced by the enchanting combination of garlic, butter, and wine. This establishment is a cherished part of the local harbor scene, and the staff are exceptionally kind. For your information, the steamed lobster and mussels arrived at home piping hot, safely wrapped in a quilt for the hour-long drive. Overall, I give the food a 5, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 5.
The fluffy chowder is simply incredible. It's a rich and creamy clam chowder, generously topped with lobster meat that's been warmed in butter and sherry. The lobster bisque is also excellent. Prices are reasonable. Although it's just a small shack primarily meant for takeout, the food is fresh and delicious. I highly recommend stopping by if you're driving through Rye on Ocean Blvd in NH.
This year I had 4 different lobster rolls from different places within a short time. I wanted to evaluate my own best role and I definitely appreciate Rye Harbor Lobster Pound the best. Oh, what a treat! The warm lobster roll, generously filled with butter, is absolutely indulgent! And the bisque, with its delightful fluffiness—how do they achieve that silky smooth texture? If you're in the mood for an extra luxurious dish, this place is definitely worth a visit!

We were really looking forward to returning to Rye for another lobster roll from this place, but unfortunately, they're closed for the season. If you're in the area when they're open, you definitely should stop by. You won't regret it!
