This place is fantastic! The traditional Thai food has an authentic flavor that's hard to beat. I often order the chive cakes, which are delicious, crispy, and just the right amount of chewy, with a perfect kick of spice and a great dipping sauce. I also tried the soup boat noodles and the Sukhothai noodles, both of which had an amazing balance and rich traditional taste. The thin noodles in the boat noodles were a bit chewy, but it was still a wonderful dish! Additionally, the red curry was flavorful and full of classic Thai aromas. We'll definitely be coming back here frequently, and my goal is to try everything on the menu!
We decided to have an impromptu dinner in North Perth and chose Sa-lung because it's the newest restaurant on Fitzgerald Street. It did not disappoint! The papaya salad and the rice vermicelli with prawns were absolutely delicious. The only downside was the Thai coffee, which was quite bland. Overall, our dining experience was great. It can get pretty busy, so I recommend making a reservation; we booked through their Facebook page.
Lovely service; very welcoming and sincere owners who just want to serve their best to you. Good variety of dishes and flavours are delicious. Our dishes could do with a little less salt and will mention that in the future when ordering. But overall, we had a very pleasant and enjoyable dining experience. Happy to return again.
I placed an order through a delivery service, and the food was overly greasy and completely flavorless (the pad thai tasted like old oil). The restaurant claimed that this didn't accurately represent their dining experience. If they can't provide a satisfactory meal through delivery, they shouldn't be recommended for it. This is a great, relaxed local Thai restaurant. They offer a variety of delicious options and the service is friendly. We ordered the potato prawn, chicken red curry, and prawn pad Thai, and we enjoyed every dish. The curry was even tastier the next day! I would definitely return to try more dishes.
Have been meaning to try this place for sometime and it's a great addition to North Perth fresh spicy and lots of flavour and the service is really friendly we had the fried rice, crispy chicken and beef salad fantastic
