The service at this restaurant was incredibly disappointing. Our group of 12 was seated at a long table, with an additional two smaller tables of 3 and 4 at the back. I was at one end of the table, and the older woman repeatedly insisted that I move inward to allow her access to the table on the back left. However, there was another route on the left side that she could have taken instead. I explained that I couldn’t keep shifting my position and wouldn’t be comfortable sitting too close to the table. I even suggested that she could move our tables slightly outward to create a pathway between them, but she refused, gave me a disapproving glare, and insisted that I should sit closer. It felt...
Sado Island is one of the very best restaurants in Perth. Everything is authentic and Superb. Sado salad is superb with their own dressing which they will also sell you a bottle of if you ask. Miso soup is a simple dish but THE BEST. All Sushi and Sashimi is made by Toshi the owner and chef, best in Perth and world class. Nasu Dengaku baked eggplant in Miso and sesame is amazing. The Entre outshine the Mains and we find we always order a multitude of entre and never get to mains because you need to leave room for some Salmon Ngiri and Prawn Ngiri at least. I visited the restaurant for a mid-week dinner for two, and it was quite quiet, with only two other tables occupied. We began our meal with edamame, which was boiled but lacked salt. The spider roll sushi was average, and the tori karaage was slightly burnt. However, the Nasu dengaku eggplant was flavorful. The agedashi tofu was forgettable, but the teriyaki fish was enjoyable. I've been visiting Sado Island for (gulp) nearly 30 years, starting back when they were located in Subiaco. The food and service have always been exceptional. Theo's food takes me back to my travels in Japan! The authentic Japanese service and expertly crafted sushi and dishes are truly remarkable. I adore the ambiance for a lovely lunch out. You won't be disappointed! Just a heads up, they've moved next to Typika.
Been meaning to go here for a long time but the alley way entrance was always so intimidating. Not sure what I would be walking in to haha. Good sashimi and sushi. Not the best I’ve had but certainly not the worst. But a bit Pricy for what it is.
This is the best Japanese restaurant in Perth. If you're dining in, I highly recommend the bento box—it's very high-quality and authentically Japanese. The service is wonderful, and the lunches are excellent as well.
This is a really great restaurant, but it may be closed at the moment. As of April 2017, their answering machine indicates that they are closed indefinitely. Let’s hope it doesn’t shut down for good. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
