we went on a Saturday night and only a handful of people - so I guess this was the first warning sign. The chef seemed to be flat out but food was so slow coming we even thought of leaving. There was great flamboyance (catching raw eggs in your bowl, or even catching your bowl of rice) however, this did nothing for the food when it eventually came - just serve of one tiny round of zucchini then one small mushroom, then one small onion ring ... all served separately without the meat or fish or rice which came much much later. Everything was pretty much tasteless and being winter, the place was really cold, so uncomfortable all round. Our wine came in an ice bucket full of water which dripped...
We had an incredible evening at this restaurant. We were warmly greeted as soon as we entered, making us feel like we were part of the family. The dining experience was top-notch and will be remembered for a long time. The food was excellent and the restaurant's ambiance was outstanding. I am thrilled to have found this hidden gem of a Japanese restaurant in Adelaide and highly recommend Tony's culinary skills to everyone. I definitely plan on returning!
I love my Japanese food, but this place takes great food and adds an excellent atmosphere and all round experience. The chef gives you the choice whether you want him to entertain you with jokes and stories, or whether you want to just be left to talk amongst yourselves. The food is hot and tasty (quite salty) but very generous overall if you get the set banquet menus. A highly recommended venue for a special dinner.
This restaurant delivers an amazing food experience, the food is prepared right in front of you by two very funny and very friendly chef's, I dont know why people give this place bad reviews, they arent deserved at all. The chef's clearly have experience, I could talk for days about how delicious the food is, you really have to go experience it for yourself. Its fantastic !

I dined here with my girlfriend recently. Having eaten in a lot of Teppanyaki restaurant, I do have a high expectation. The food was ok, not spectacular, but not poor either. The order the food was served could have been better. However the chef and the staff were excellent and provided great service.
Food is very tasty, can be cheap or expensive so it tis best to go in pairs and select from the 2people menu rather than buying separate dishes. Very small restaurant so make sure you book.
We went as a group of nine several had never eaten Japanese cuisine and vowed never to again after eating here. The food was just awful and very disappointing
Great food and fun attentive staff. Really enjoyed the vibe too :) The seafood was lovely and the prawn cracker was surprisingly delicious!

We really enjoy our meal and the show that comes with it. Worth visiting and we will be back again for a family meal.
