After a busy day Christmas shopping we decided to spontaneously pop in for a portion of Fish Chips. We opted to sit in over takeaway as the weather was wet and miserable, plus there were loads of free tables. So far everything was good, so we took a seat and waited on our food arriving. About 15 minutes later the fish suppers were ready. Hungry and ready to enjoy we were both left disappointed by the small size fish and dry chips for £8.50 Tried adding some brown sauce and vinegar but that didn’t really help so we ended up just leaving the chips. One positive the fish was cooked fresh, was piping hot and tasted good but everything else let this place down. They could do with playing a little...
Got a takeaway on Friday night ordered a 10 inch doner went to pick up and was met by the usual very friendly staff. Got pizza home and was not disappointed pipping hot, base and crust really tasty, absolutely loads of doner meat unlike some places. Also got a garlic and chilli dip must say chilli dip very tasty different than other places but in a good way if your visiting you must try. Will defo be back outstanding pizza and I'm very hard to please.
So many restaurants/pub kitchens close early in Edinburgh. We got out for dinner after 9pm and had a hard time finding anywher still serving food. Fortunately, we stopped in at Salt N Vinegar. We had delicious, fresh food: the falafel wrap, side salad, chips with curry sauce cheese. They did a really nice salad, which far surprassed my expectations. Yummy, fresh, lots of vegetarian options, and open late--a good combo!
Got a takeaway from here while staying at a nearby hotel. Fish was cooked fresh which meant a wee wait but was more than worth it as was delicious. Guy who served us was so polite and friendly so would recommend a visit here if not looking for an expensive meal out and just want to take back to your hotel room.

Stopped by late in the evening and service was fast and friendly, food was delicious, chips were perfect and even went back the next evening because we enjoyed it so much only to find it closed, sadly! Certainly not the cheapest but at least we got quality for our money. Will come again.
After a few hours drinking we wanted food, this was the first place we came across and so glad we did. I had the chicken doner and it was excellent, really good with fresh pita bread, they also gave me some free chips which was a nice touch, will be going back for sure.
Absolutely lovely staff, great food and great prices, was for the first time at a chip shop in years and couldn’t have chosen a better place to visit, in my opinion a must visit in Edinburgh if you want to go to have some authentic fish and chips, or a fried mars bar
The turkish guy working there prepared everything on the spot. Food was very fresh and delicious! Had a very pleasant chat on various topics and he brighten up the day a bit with his good mood : All the best from the Romanian couple! :

Uncooked fish and dry chips Shocking that a fish chip shop cant have fish ready to serve. You need to wait 10 mins and still get uncooked food
We had the lamb döner and chicken döner with chips and salad. Staff are also friendly, great to see happy faces around.
