The chef at this restaurant is extremely talented, utilizing advanced technology, skills, and a creative touch in every dish. The half sour pickles, quesadillas with homemade masa, beet salad with toasted walnuts and spelt, and perfectly rare local meat burger were all expertly executed and absolutely delicious. The gnocchi melted in my mouth with ricotta and pea and ramp sauce. The petersnip cake was a delightful end to the meal. If this restaurant were located in Portland, there would be a line out the door with everyone eager to try the otherwise perfect burger without any hesitation. Bravo!
I ordered the chicken paprikash with Spatzle. Good flavors, but it was served with 2 very small drumsticks that had barely any meat on them and drumsticks have a lot of bone and tendon . For the #30.00 price this should have beenat least thighs(2) or a bigger chicken breast! This was very disappointing! I expected something more than 2 teeny drumsticks. Really drumsticks! My friends got the duck and a grain bowl and smoked mackerel. Nice people but I think a bit overpriced.
very good food, but served with an ugly side of the ecological journey and attitude. the prizes are high and make worth bad. 12.50 for a glass house red. the worst I asked about her Burger sauce on the side. that was a dollar upcharge. to take a sauce. unbelievable. Yes, eating is delicious, but the experiences were among the worst in a long trip through fine eating.
What a fantastic dinner!! First time we have been out since last summer, so it was a special occasion. Couldn't have picked a better place to celebrate new beginnings. Very enjoyable night out at Sammy’s Deluxe! Food was delicious and many gluten free options for me(celiac). Wines were especially good with Sammy being very knowledgeable on each. The relaxing atmosphere and interesting menu will keep us coming back for more. The community of Rockland is lucky!
Seems like it's trying to punch above it's weight class. Leek mackerel dish was pretty weak (should have been twice the mackerel) and the mushroom mcnuggets were pretty bland. The burger was good tho, as was the margarita, but everything seemed a dollar or two too expensive (20 dollar burger).
Love Sammy's. Not everything on the menu to my liking but there always something interesting. The smoked haddock is fantastic. Great burgers. Definitely worth the visit. Don't expect a flashy interior more funky and a little dark but go with it. Service and Food great.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. The main dish I ordered was so delicious that I wanted to go back every day during my stay in town. I will be dreaming about this place for a while. I absolutely loved everything I tried there!
