I visited San Gennaro with my husband a week ago after reading about it being one of the best places to have pizza in Montreal. We ordered slices. Yes !! slices! because we wanted to try all of them. First disappointment It...wasn't a pizza. I would rather call it a dough with some random stuff they put on top and serve you. Second disappointment The potato pizza was disgusting! Third disappointment This one lady at the counter was so rude and having a hard time doing the least to heat the pizza before serving it. Overall! horrible experience and I just wasted dollars on it.
I went last week and its literally one of the best restaurants I've ever been to everyone makes you feel so welcomed and taken care of from the waiters to the manager, i had the grande pizza caprese recommended to me by the manager i...believe her name was Medina and it was fantastic as well as the tiramisu was sooo good i had to reorder to bring home; as a foodie and someone who's worked in restaurants watching this woman orcastraight everything was amazing, its amazing food and excellent service, highly recommended.first place I'm going after lock down is done.
I stop here every weeks or so, either alone in the AM before getting to work downtown or with my better half on Saturday afternoons. The coffee is outstanding and the pizza al taglio is delicious. Mauro the barista is also very welcoming and...takes pride in his establishment. They have a great outside seating area as well for people watching La Piccola Italia. Highly recommend.
Always a satisfying visit to this typical Italian café. Along with pizza al taglio the arincini is worth a try. We visit here whenever we are in Montreal. Only one issue. Are you kidding? This place is legit... the coffee, the baked goods... it's on another level. The italian donuts are orgasmic... it's not an exageration, you will embarass yourself our of joy when biting into one. I hear the pizzas are top notch, gotta try...next time.
This was a wonderful local surprise after our trip to the Jean-Talon market. I had a creamy latte and Italian pastry. It was so good that I went back for two slices of pizza. One was amazing with smoked cheese and potato. Yummy!
In the heart of little Italy a great authentic Italian café that serves amazing donuts and pizza. This very quaint restaurant has small tables with stools inside. The ricotta and Nutella donuts are delicious.
