I've been nothing but pleased when visiting San Marino! I live quite far from Waterbury, so when in town, it's a treat I look forward to. Most recently, with a party of 7, I enjoyed another well executed meal. From the house-made bleu cheese dressing, to the perfectly al dente pasta, to the scrumptious Xango for dessert, I was, yet again, impressed. Not to mention, the prices are more than reasonable! I was actually quite surprised by the low total. And I can't forget our server, Jamie. She was patient, polite and attentive. Vegetarian options: The host that picked up the phone was so uneducated. I called with the intention of making a pick-up order and inquired if they have vegan options. She said she’s not sure what constitutes a meal as vegan. I asked her to possibly transfer me to someone that did know. She said she’s pretty positive that nobody in the restaurants knew, including the chefs. I said, The chefs aren’t knowledgeable on what makes a dish vegan or not? She said, No. I helped her understand what makes a dish vegan simplified : no animal derived products. Service, while quick, wasn't rushed. Everything came out as needed and invisible service. Clams Casino was almost perfect, but I added a little tobacco for a little bit of heat. A beautiful and tasty spring salad mix that was complimented by a nice light creamy Italian dressing.And the the veal Parmesan. Just WOW....Sliced thin, pounded tender, thinly breaded and not at all greasy. Cooked well done without being dry. You can also taste the homemade sauce that was a perfect accomplishment without overpowering the flavor of the veal.So stuffed, could only eat half of the extremely large portion.Definitely recommend San Marino Restaurant
Well, this restaurant is good, very good food, very good service, sometimes you have to have a little patience because the food takes a little while, but it is good food, good service, they serve you well, keep it up, they do a very good job. And thank you, your food is very delicious.

The food was fantastic! The eggplant parmesan was delicious and perfectly balanced, not overloaded with cheese. The cannolis were just the right level of sweetness. The waitress was attentive, and the service was quick. I highly recommend this place!
Fantastic service! The traditional menu is outstanding. Salads come complimentary with the entrée. The Chicken Parmesan was cooked to perfection. Drink prices are quite reasonable. Definitely make a reservation.

Stuffed shrimp and the Milanese was perfect. The penne alla vodka was okay. The show stopper was surprisingly the house made dressings.
