Let 's start on a positive note, the coconut shrimp were good and our waiter was nice. Bill 's brown soup was also decent. After the appetizer, everything went downhill. Their pinot noir is the worst wine I 've had, it tasted old and watered down. The 13oz sirloin w/ mushrooms was not a steak but a beef patty (just grounded beef) covered in a sauce to cover its bad appearance and taste. The food here is very low quality yet their prices are paired with quality restaurant prices. My family and I regretted so much finding this well-kept secret which ruined our evening. I've only been to Sarah Janes twice. Once about 10 years ago and last night 12/21/19. The steaks we had for our 22nd anniversary were incredible, just as I remembered them. The staff is also top notch and prices are good too. A must visit for a delicious meal. We found our new go to place. A classic Mom Pop restaurant, filled with families. Mom started it and now the son and grandson run it. Service was fantastic, with the owner visiting us many times. He has a great sense of humor and was fun to joke around with. He was super flexible with our order. The food was perfect and portions were great. This would be our new favorite place if it was close to our home.
Went for date night last night and had a wonderful experience. The staff was overwhelmed but very friendly and the food was tasty. The portion sizes are shockingly small however. My boyfriend ordered the salmon from the specials and it was no more than 3 or 4 ounces for $25. The jumbo shrimp were not very large either.

Comfortable atmosphere, attentive waitstaff, great food, excellent pricing, even the bartender Cindy came out to the dining room to suggest after dinner drink options. Definitely a keeper, enjoyed the experience, will return soon.
We waited 20min for a table. Service was great! I highly recommend this place. I ordered fried shrimp and scampi. I liked how the shrimp was crispy n flavorful. The bread was warm n crisp at the bottom. I will b going back
Our server must have been new or had an off night..food great! Scallops stuffed with crab meat..pork chop..NY strip...fried shrimp with filet mignon...they ran out of the prime rib ...
I love sarah james. Eat is delicious, suppen are great and I love the sirloin steak! I just want to point out that the sections have become smaller.

the staff was very friendly, but that was so. my salate tasted as if the carrots were really old. I'm probably not going back.
