We had dishes from the take-out menu. The food was delicious but the portions were unbelievably, ridiculously small. I did not see our bill for our group, but when I saw the portions we received I viewed the on-line menu. I was shocked! Our hosts made sure we had enough to eat, but I was heartbroken ? when I saw what they paid for the food. As I said, delicious food, but it is not worth the prices which are a total rip-off. We have never dined in at Sawadee, and this was our first time eating from the take-out menu. We will NOT be back to this menu, nor will we dine in. So sad. ? The food was fine, the portions and the prices charged are not just a disappointment, they are an insult to both...
A solid 4 stars. Authentic Thai food. Busy with a lot of take out. Very reasonable prices. The interior has tables and booths but it is pretty plain inside. They should play some background music as it is quiet except for the blowers. The Pad Preah Wan was excellent and full of goodies! And not too spicy. The Pad Thai was OK but needs more chicken and less tofu. I liked the coconut rice. In a strip mall with free parking. Funny thing was the parking in front of the restaurant was full but there was no one inside...staff park in front obviously .
We dropped in for dinner around 5:00p.m. There were several tables available. The young lady who seated us and served us was excellent. We had time to check the menu and ask for info and advice on items. Service was fast, food was excellent. When we left a little after 6:00, the place was quite full. Cost was very reasonable. Definitely worth visiting.Vegetarian options: Many of the items on the dinner menu can be made vegetarian or vegan friendly.
What a delight this small, family-run restaurant is! The food is delicious, with my personal favourites being their pad Thai, khao soi, and panang curry. The service is friendly and attentive, and it’s quite nice-looking on the inside, too. It’s easy to miss this gem of a restaurant, but it is a definite must-try for any fans of Thai food. Disappointed because I ordered grilled chicken but we got Chicken satay instead. I understood both are grilled dishes but different marinade. However it was very good.Thai Grilled chicken is not the same Chicken SatayBut I still like their pork fried rice, Pa nang curry, mango sticky rice.
This place is lovely. Had lunch recently. Prices are reasonable and the food is superb. Been to many thai places and this is worth the visit. Not a long wait at all for the food, very personable server and clean surroundings. Definitely
