My partner and I were visiting the bay for our anniversary, and decided on Thai for dinner. we booked although it was really not neccessary - there were only 3 other people when we arrived but we are used to the city.The waitress was friendly, and let us know they were out of duck - I found so disappointing because I love duck!. looking at the menu I was also a bit frustrated as majority of the dishes had peanuts / satay and I am allergic (I understand that Thai food does involve a lot of peanuts however there was not much variety for those like myself who are allergic or simply do not like them). I ordered the Thai Beef Salad upon the waitress' recommendation and my Partner got the Pad Thai...
We dine quite regularly at the Sawatdee Thai Restaurant. The $10 lunch specials are always good value. The size and freshness of the meal is always up to standard. BYO is available with a $2.50 per person fee. They have a good selection of lunch specials available. It is situated on the southern end of the Batemans Bay shopping precinct a few doors down from Target. Service can be a little slow sometimes, but more recently it has improved.
My family and friends frequently delight our tastebuds with the amazing food Sawatdee Thai Restaurant has to offer.The restaurant features an extensive menu for lunch and dinner, as well as a short "Lunch Specials" menu all at an affordable price.There are plenty of tables with lots of room that are always clean and tidy.You are always welcomed by fantastic service.I definitely recommend this incredible restaurant!5 STARS
Ordered the pad sea ew (chicken), laksa (chicken) and oyster sauce stir fry with rice (pork).Although they had small proportions, the laksa had great flavours - sweet and creamy and not too spicy. Padseaew had good vegetables in it, however the sauce was a bit bland. Oyster sauce stir fry had great flavours in their sauce that went well with the rice and lamb.

Probably our favorite place for lunch when shopping in the Bay. Great value and choice for $10. Service always friendly and prompt. Meals are delicious, good sized and with the right amount of spices for our tastes. BYO only but we usually stick to water or soft drink at lunchtime. Parking is a little easier to find in this part of town as well.
I went to Sawatdee last week and had a fabulous seafood noodle dish with Thai basil and chilles. It was wonderful! Unfortunately, my friend had a green curry with chicken that wasn't anything like it should have been. So, quality uneven, but I'll go back!
If you order a typical Thai curry - they do a good job. but they have a chinese element to expand their menu but that lets the entire restaurant down. Only order traditional Thai if you want good food.
Just a quick night out - some of the best Thai yet. All courses very fresh and well thought out. The best steamed dim sims in ages. Lovely flavors and good mix of vegies with the meat. Loved it all.

Mmmmmmm a little disappointing. Ordered five different dishes and found them all a bit bland. Curry had very little spice if any. Restaurant does not serve liquor.
The food is always cooked quickly and it is always well cooked. Have been going there for about 8 years with old and new owners.
