This was our first visit to Sayang. We expected a good quality Malaysian or Asian Fusion meal. We were sorely disappointed. We ordered Stir Fried Duck Breast and Vegetables in an Oyster Sauce, Rendang Beef, Roti's, steamed rice and green tea. Although we were sharing between two the dishes were small and lacked sufficient quality ingredients. The duck was primarily fat and skin and there were few pieces. The dish was filled out with vegetables however the oyster sauce was very runny and lacked flavour or spice. We requested medium hot. So I made a call when booking to find that it was definitely on the menu.My favourite laksa is the Malaya in Sydney, nothing else has matched it in over 30 years.We arrived on a cold night to find several tables of locals already seated. We ordered gado-gado to share and 2 seafood laksas. What a disappointment - upon ordering a much loved chicken dish to discover it was sinewy, chewy and not a good quality chicken thigh meat at all - worst I have had. Accepting that this might happen on occasion if a restaurant changes suppliers ... I bothered to advise the chef of my experience however he was most unpleasant, argued that my experience was not possible over and over again and said how he had never had a bad review before .... well I have never had stringy, sinewy chicken thighs before .... disappointing experience.

Had dinner here recently and the entrees were fabulous. However, we both chose a variant of duck for our main and were a little disappointed with the meat - it was dry. The rest of the dish was fresh and very flavoursome so perhaps the duck meat was just a bad choice. Service was very friendly - it is BYO with the bottle shop just next door.

The food was amazing. The service was fantastic! Had the vegetable curry puffs & satay chicken for entree. lamb roti special & rendeng chicken was so amazing! Will definitely recommend this restaurant. Will be back again that's for sure.
Sayang Malaysian is always first class. Les and Asher are the most beautiful welcoming couple and the food is always fresh and good quality. Highly recommend this restaurant for the food and service.

The staff were amazing gave my friend a bottle wine for her b day. Nothing was a problem. Friendly, professional. Great prices nothing compared to the restaurant down the road . Well worth a visit
My wife and I had dinner here this evening. We had a fantastic meal with great service from Les and the staff. We will certainly be back!
