Friendly staff and their Backyard Movies is one of my favorite chill ways to spend a summer evening, especially on a budget. They tap into nostalgia in all the right ways between that and Rewind Video/Bar and are an awesome independent local movie theater alternative to chains. Big fan!For Backyard Movies specifically, it’s projected on the back side of the theater building and you set up your camp chairs in the parking lot. You can buy your $5 ticket online $1.50ish convenience fee) or usually you can walk up and buy it too. What a super cool local theater! I visited here recently for the first time for one of the Friday Night Fright screenings! We watched The Conjuring, and afterward there were 2 amazing guest speakers for a short Q&A. This was definitely worth the price of admission. The theater itself has a great vibe as well with it still showing off its age in such a great way. They have concessions and alcohol which is a huge plus. The staff there are also fantastic and seem to have an awesome time working there. Definitely recommend this place to anyone that has not been yet and I cannot wait to go back!
Not a bug, but a feature. This is the perfect way to describe this movie theater. If your looking for that hipster old school experience, then this is a perfect destination for you. However, if your hoping too see a movie on a big screen and amazing sound, you should go somewhere else. Unfortunately I didn 't realize it until coming there.
I love this theater. It's my go-to theater . It plays a great variety of movies, and I love the Live Oscars events. I was here last to see Asteroid City. The staff is kind, and I was thrilled to be able to buy a glass of Blvd Radler to sip on. The only ding is the restroom. Time to upgrade it to feel cleaner.
Saw Asteriod City here tonight. Fantastic place! Perfect theatre, and they have a bar and snack situation up front for all your needs. Restrooms are kept clean and nice. Only issue is that parking is kind of a bare. Overall, wonderful experience! Will come here to see another movie again
I love this place, it definitely has its own vibe super nostalgic, and it's practically the only place you can go see obscure or classic older films. Last time I went I watched neverending story which i had only ever seen on video and brought my friend who had never seen it at all.
I love going here! The last time i went to an amc the floors were sticky and the seats were torn. Everything about this theatre and great. Its very nostalgic and the food is delicious! Plus no sticky floors and seats were great!
They serve great drinks from the bar and you can drink your drink and eat food while you watch a movie! It is old school thing like the 80s. I Wont go to any other theater but this one. Best movie theater, 2023 to me.
Chess, good food brews, a charismatic staff, #Barbenheimer... what's not to love? This is the best one-stop shop date night place in the Northland and my girlfriend and I spend so much time here.
