I'd been to the Aussie-themed venue that was here before and was glad to see that their pies continue to be a part of the new incarnation here called Sea Biscuit. All the individually sized pot pies are currently $13-14, with the lamb moussaka proving to be a reasonable value, as it had a nice ratio of ground lamb relative to the other ingredients, which included feta, roasted eggplant, tomato, and mashed potato. Pies were heated individually and service was friendly and engaging. The venue is much the same as before: a very tight, somewhat stuffy tavern-like interior but plenty of space in a completely enclosed canopy out front. Even in the current cold weather, it gets a lot of sun, so it wa...

This place is such a hidden gem! We finally had a chance to visit on a Sunday morning and had a lovely time. The patio is dog friendly, so we took our pup and had a seat at a picnic table. There were space heaters, but the temp was only about 50, so bundle up!My date had the biscuit bacon egg and cheese and it was perfect. The perfect size, perfect bacon, perfect tomato jam, perfect biscuit!I had the Smoked Salmon Brioche Sandwich and it was delicious. The egg was scrambled but not over cooked. The salmon portion was generous. And the BUN! Ahhh the bun was crispy and kept its integrity while eating the sandwich a rarity for brioche! We both had coffees as well. My almond milk latte had the yum...
They sell pies. I was hungry and I ate mine but it was dry as a desert. Possibly freshly made the day before, but not that day. And a spoon of beef gravy over the top could have helped.A bottle of wine was more expensive than expected given that we were really off the beaten track, at the docks. In most restaurants it is cheaper to buy the whole bottle rather than 4 glasses. So we settled for that tiny glass of wine and a can of beer.Pictured small plastic cup of wine, BBQ Shrimp on the Barbie over rice salad. Other cardboard plate sits a beef stew pie.
When I heard K.O Pies were planning on closing I was crestfallen. Their delicious Australian-style meat pies were a great addition to East Boston. I was overjoyed to learn they would stay open under a new name, Seabiscuit. I have such a fun, relaxing time when I come here. My wife and I really enjoy sitting at their picnic tables eating a beef stew pie with some fries and a beer during the summer. The staff are the best. We like coming here for lunch and then head to Downeast Cider popup afterwards. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Sea BiscuitBeing an English person I am partial to a good homemade pie ?! Having been recommended this little rustic cafe/restaurant down in East Boston docks I thought I would give it a go! Well what a little find! I decided on the beef stew pie, homemade mushy peas and gravy! I decide against the mash and had a cheeky little French red instead! Had to watch the calories! ? If you fancy a little bit of homemade heaven in a working dock location this is the place for you! ????
Sea biscuit is overpriced for the quantity of food you get. I got a non-alcoholic hot toddy (which just taste like sweet lemon tea), a small serving of mushy pea, mash potatoes and a spinach and cheese pie, and my husband got a lamb pie (small size of your palm) and a mulled wine for $54.00. The atmosphere is like a British sports pub so it is cool and the people who work there are super nice...it's just pricey for pub food and the quantity is small.
Really tasty. I’d been to KO pies and The Biscuit before they both closed, and Seabiscuit does a great job following in their footsteps. The breakfast sandwiches were delicious with perfectly cooked eggs and great biscuits. The pie was great with a tasty filling and flaky crust, and the blueberry scones were a nice treat. The location is very nice too. Definitely recommend.
Food is good but you are getting an experience. Most people from Eastern Ma have never been in this neighborhood. It is unique. The E. Boston waterfront has completely changed for the better. This place is tucked away in a commercial waterfront with all the good old buildings still there. Spend a couple hours walking and exploring and then eat here. You won't regret it. It 's a small place with big taste. Love the pies. As their wall says: Pies that you can dive right into . Zero complaints. The food is great. The atmosphere is relaxed and open. It 's a great little stop when passing through the ship yard.Food: 5/5
Cozy spot tucked away in the port. The breakfast sandwich is delicious. I like the bathroom too.
