Seafood Tale Fish & Chips Cafe

Looking for something local for the Bayside Saturday drive ... Decided to eat in comfortably instead of eating at the seaside...so glad to have found this gem! Platter for two, fresh, crisp, tasty...didn't want anything else! (Not frozen packet **** hallelujah! Fish juicy, scallop scrummy, house made crumb and shanties. Good beer battered chips too. Clean, tidy and friendly, groovy music. We'll be back!!!! Forgot to take a pic as it was so inviting I dived right in.

Had been told this was good fish and chips. WRONG. Battered fish; the batter was doughy. Potato scallops were raw. Salt was only on the chips. Battered sav was a caterer product; very bland. The crumbed-sausage sausage slipped out the middle of the crumb; another caterers product. There is another fish and chip in the same complex. Had that before and will be giving them my business from now on.

I live handy and have been looking for a good place for fish and chips. Low and behold, I came across this shop. The food is fabulous. We have been a number of times and the fish and chips are great. The shop is scrupulously clean and the owners are staff are friendly and helpful. I don't want to tell you all too much as J found this place and want it for myself.

As we are new to the area, we have been trying many of the local dining options. The pleasing quality of a recent fish and chips takeaway meal from this venue; will have us returning. Crumbed, battered or grilled fish cooking options. Very clean ambience with friendly staff. Good value chip serving sizes.
