the dumplings we had for a starter were excellent, we had the black and kimchi, fried, and the little chicken bug dumplings, also fried. they were delicious. the sauce that came with the chickens was like an asian bbq. we also ordered a spicy **** Mary type drink and a mojito both very tasty. there the meal no longer remained so delicious. my man has the Thai coco (similar tom kha) suppe. that was overwhelming. it has 2 paprika, specify the spiciness in the menu, but it was definitiw not sharp. the cherry tomatoes and celery in the suppe were confusing and did not fit with the taste profile. the huge leaves of cilantro really needed to be cut a little bit smaller. it also needed more cocose...
Ambiance: Great place for a dinner out. This is an upscale Asian style restaurant, which caters to a more western clientele. There are modern touches with couch seating, bar tables. They set the mood with lighting at night. They also have a patio facing one of the busiest walking street so I can understand the line up to get into this place. Food: Tom Yum Soup: This came warm, not necessarily oozing with flavor of Tum Yum you would expect to get at an Asian restaurant. This was however much flavorful than my main course. we were not impressed. I ordered the tofu poke bowl because I am vegetarian. my wife had the pad thai. we also ordered a starter of veggie knödeln. the waiter said that he would bring out the appetizers immediately. within 5 minutes of order brought another server out our escape! that made us wonder if that was someone else's order, especially because my tofu was clear. I called back the server and he said there were also tofu in there; I told him that the menu didn't say anything about garneling, and I ordered the tofu because I'm a vegetarian. he said he would correct it. he came back 2 minutes later; it was obvious that he had scratched the garnels from the top and instead shot some cold...
I visited this restaurant on a Saturday night with a friend and had an incredible experience. The food was truly outstanding. We began with a delicious Thai coconut soup, followed by steamed shrimp and pork dumplings. We also enjoyed the General Tso's chicken (some of the best I've ever had), teriyaki beef, shrimp in red curry sauce, and Jasmine rice. I have the wrong sauce for my dish (or her erdnusssauce is really sweet and does not taste like erdnuss at all), but we waited for more than 30 minutes for our food, so we were somehow in a hurry and I did not study further. concerning the rice, he was sticky rice mixed with tiny pieces of carrots. I had expected a fluffy rice full of taste, but I guess that's on me. the service was very attentive. they need to book a table in advance for lunchtime, or they could wait long.
I was on Sunday night. there was no space inside, so we sat on the terrace. our waitress was good. eating was good, but no big part at all and expensive. I took the burger who was good, but the chicken roast rice was decent. for the desert I had the cheesecake, but it was too small and for the drink I had the Chinese medicine and it was ok. we also waited very long for our order and there was mixing in our order.
One of the best and one of my favorite restaurants on St. Catherine's. The cocktail menu is scrumptious and the huge choices on the menu are all delicious. Get lots if sides for sharing like the papaya salad, chilli chicken, fried rice and the fabulous dumplings. Fantastic customer service too and I love the big lingual menu for English speakers. Top notch!
The service was excellent and the drinks were great at this restaurant! The Poke bowl was amazing, but the portion size was perfect. Unfortunately, the bowls were too small for the amount of food.
