We haven't been here in awhile and boy was the place hoppin'. A wedding, rehearsal dinner, and steady dinner crowd kept the wait staff busy. Even then, we ordered 2 fishfrys and they came out of the kitchen quite quickly. These were amazing. Light and very flaky while also being crunchy from the beer battered coating. Fries and coleslaw were excellent too. Probably the best fish fry we've had all year. One comment though... one staff member tried removing our plates before we were finished with our meal, and our waitress snatched both our beer glasses before either of us had finished. We felt like we were getting pushed out. Something for the restaurant bar staff to work on in the future.
We got married at Shadow Lake in May 2022, and it was absolutely amazing! Our ceremony took place by the pond, and our reception was held in the clubhouse. From the very start, planning with Ryan was incredibly smooth! We can't thank her, Pj, and the entire staff enough for making our night so special. They arrived early to set up all our decorations and tables, and they ensured we had to-go meals since, let's be honest, the bride and groom hardly have time to eat. We highly recommend this venue—the photos taken on-site turned out beautifully too!
A beautiful space with lots of potential. I officiated a wedding there. The indoor remodel (new paint, carpet and chairs? in the last few years was nice. Most of the staff was helpful. Unfortunately there was no electricity in the ceremony area. After asking multiple employees for help someone finally got me an extension cord. The pond could use some maintenance. No bottled water for sale. However, still good potential and the event went well after a few challenges.
The atmosphere is lovely, featuring a pleasant view of the golf course and pond. The entrees are excellent and reasonably priced. I highly recommend the Shadowlake French, which is their unique twist on Chicken French, but made with cod. It comes with green beans and rice pilaf, all drizzled with a delightful sauce. This is a stunning golf course and country club. It’s quite surprising that it’s open to the public instead of being a private club, as it has the appearance of one. The food was excellent, and the surroundings are absolutely gorgeous. It’s definitely worth a visit, and if you’re a golfer, you’ll be very pleased with the course.
We dined here last night and the food was amazing! The menu had a great variety of options, including plenty of gluten-free choices. Our waiter was excellent as well. I ordered the pastrami Reuben on gluten-free bread, with seasonal vegetables and a side salad!
I hadn't visited this place in a while, so attending a brunch birthday party was a delightful experience. The brunch featured a buffet that was well-stocked and delicious, although the potatoes had an excessive amount of spice on them.
