Poppy popped into shankers on prospect. He wont be popping in again that's for sure. Average food, average service. unfortunately you can see straight into the kitchen where the 'chef' is cooking. I don't think I've seen a dirtier kitchen. It was a frightful scene. Put Poppy right off his meal tell you what. There were also flies inside flying all around my dishes and the kitchen. Oh dear. Food wasn't decent Indian cuisine to begin with. Decor is ok but building could do with a clean. Not worth an eat, won't be returning ????
Pretty disappointing overall. Had to wait about an hour for our food to arrive, and when it did it was....ok. Tried 5 different dishes and non of them stood out as something that would bring us back. If you're going to charge premium prices, the food better live up to it as well but unfortunately it didn't. Anyone who thinks this place is a top indian restaurant in Adelaide probably hasn't tried many places. There are places that have twice as good food for half the price. Overall, very disappointing :(
I have never been motivated to write a review until I dined here. I have never experienced worse service. It took well over an hour after ordering for food to arrive. When we complained to the waiter one of the chefs came out and shouted at us. I stated that we were not coming back and he said 'I couldn't care less'. Horrible evening out, couldn't enjoy the meal out of anger.
cute little Indian place on prospect road, we always used to drive past but didn't think of stopping there until one day we did! the food was actually really nice and authentic and the service was great! there are not many nice places in Adelaide that do nice Indian food so this was great! I like this place. Good service. Owner is fab. Food is pretty good. A little more salt for the soul would be good. A nice fun spot to sit outside and watch the Prospect life come alive. I would go back for sure.
Their Dosai was as authentic as it would be. Beware of the Hot Vindaloo, it was properly hot but was so good. The service was pleasant and friendly which made the whole experience a lot more enjoyable.
Decent range on the menu. Food is good, but nothing special considering the pricing. Atmosphere is perhaps a little tense. Wines are also overpriced - especially corkage! Wait staff are polite.

Unnecessarily expensive... If you're going to charge top price for food you need to go the extra mile.... Won't go back. It is a nice place though.
