I live here but still want to vote on this one. Shine is (in my opinion) the best breakfast place in town. Their variety is awesome. Their eggs benny is the best. They have tons of different types of hollandaise sauces as well. I love how gluten free friendly they are offering gluten free english muffins for those of us who cannot have the bread and it's nice to actually get the english muffin option, not just crappy gluten free bread. They always have new things to try on their specials and while I am not as adventurous as my husband (probably because of my allergies), he has never left there saying "well that wasn't very good". Shine is classic in all the right ways. It's been, and remains a staple breakfast joint in Victoria. I'm all about there Eggs Benedict's, but have ventured away every now and then and always enjoyed what I've had. Where I feel they are upper echelon forfood, their coffee lives well in the middle. There is great coffee out there, we don't need to continually push the same oldprofile with breakfast. Coffee is such an important part of the morning, it would be nice to see it elevated the way foodhas. The coffee doesn't stop me from going or even ordering the coffee and I still love every visit. Oh! The staff are superawesome too!

After coming here for 16 years it's easy to see that Owner Barry was the heart and soul of Shine Cafe. When he left the quality and the portion sizes left with him it's still a tasty little breakfast spot, but there's something missing here now. I hopethey figure it out because their reputation is only going to carry them so far. It's been a Victoria staple for a many years butunfortunately it's getting more disappointing with every visit.

I live near here so I go quite a lot. It's a very popular place so there's usually a line - expect to wait up to 20 minutes on the weekend, sometimes more. The brunch is awesome - they've got a great selection of delicious bennies, omelettes and other standard brunch fare. Shine Cafe is one of the best brunch spots in the city. We were greeted quickly and informed of an accurate wait-time. Our server Mia was very friendly and informative! We took her recommendations on drinks and food, we were not disappointed! The foodcame quick and was quite tasty. Overall, an excellent spot and well-priced!

Shine is top 2 breakfast spots in Victoria. I honestly always get the same order. I get the Beckets Benny. It's too delicious to not order. The staff are always friendly and the food comes quick. There can be a pretty long wait on weekends on holidays, but it always worth it.

This Shine has been around for more than a decade. Big helpings of non-diet breakfast & lunch food excellently prepared. The Tartan Toque is back to back with Shine and specializes in wings and burgers. Another Shine location is downtown across from the Atrium.

The restaurant was super busy as I went there around mid afternoon. Whole day breakfast and brunch are both available for guests to order. I recommended omelette and cup of black coffee.

We have been here quite a few times.. always delicious! Sometimes you may have to wait to get in but it is worth it.
