My wife and I visited Shoboraj last Sunday evening and enjoyed a wonderful dining experience. We last visited here over years ago and the meal we had back then was superb. This time it was one of the best if not the best Bangladeshi/...Indian meals we have ever experienced. The food from start to finish was presented so well and was so flavourful and generous in portion size. The staff are very friendly and forthcoming. Sammy who looked after us is a credit to this restaurant, taking his time explaining the various options available to us on the menu, nothing seemed to much trouble. Shoboraj is a spotlessly clean restaurant with friendly staff, comfortable surroundings and outstanding food....
On business, stuck away hidden in hotel off Where to eat? Having checked out the local Google Map around area, discovered this little gem. On entering, was given warm welcome, which continued throughout the evening. Menu, service, venue, staff spot on, however more importantly...what about food? Great selection of specialist dishes on menu, plus usual suspects on menu. Opted for the Curried Lamb Chops with Paneer Coriander Naan, washed down a very pleasant pint of Lal Toofan Beer. Spot on, great job all round and very competitive pricing. If you're ever in Newport like good food, then a must!!
We’ve been to Shoboraj for a number of years and have never been disappointed. The food is phenomenal. It truly is amazing. We’ve been to many many Indian restaurants in Newport, and Cardiff and this one is by far our favourite. I suggested a Christmas...meal for my team in work and everyone thought it was a great night with high quality food. If you haven’t been and you like a curry, I strongly suggest you visit. It’s great.
I was recommended this place by some natives and it really lived up to their recommended. it is a small place, very cozy with very friendly service, good selection of meals and drinks. I have visited several times, never neglected, eating is under the best I tried in the Newport area.
We usually have take aways from Shoboraj and they are always delicious, but took visiting friends to have a sit down meal on Boxing Day and it was excellent. Great service, amazing food, lovely staff and well set up for the new Covid restrictions so...felt safe.
that our local time out, we had many meal times from here and sat on special occasions, I can honestly say we never had a bad meal ever! Best curry house in newport by far with the beautiful staff.
