I went to celebrate a birthday and managed to secure a hibachi table for six without any wait on a Saturday evening. The food was just okay; the protein portions were relatively small for the price, and the New York Strip just didn't taste the same when cut so thin. The hibachi grill was somewhat entertaining for the kids, but the cooks didn't seem very enthusiastic, and there wasn't much of a show. The service from other waitstaff was slow, especially when it came to drink orders and refills. I waited for 12 minutes, and the waiter passed by me multiple times without even acknowledging my presence. A couple who arrived after me was attended to quickly, placing their orders while I still hadn’t received a glass of water. It wasn’t until a waiter from another section brought me one that I finally got something to drink. I noticed my original waiter across the room, engrossed in his phone. Unfortunately, I didn't catch his name since he never got close enough for me to see. The restaurant was quite dirty, with grease everywhere, which became apparent when the cook started to prepare food. The whole dining area filled with smoke from the fat. Our server struggled to understand us, and we had difficulty understanding them as well. The menus were just one page, looking cheap and unappealing, with large print that took up a third of the page. The sushi menu didn't match what was included in half of the rolls, and when we asked the server about it, they didn't have an answer. First of all, people that complain about the wait should have made a reservation.?????Can?t blame the restaurant for being busy because their food is amazing! My bf and I came here tonight to celebrate him finishing his school semester and me getting accepted into school for the spring. We ordered different rolls and loved them all! Not too crowded and very fast service. We don?t come here often due to it being kind of pricey (however well worth it) but when we do it?s worth every penny and always so good! I highly recommend if you want authentic sushi.

The fried rice tasted like just white rice with soy sauce. Ordered my steak rare, came out well done and so tough I could even chew. Ordered a drink they finally brought it when we were done eating and almost ready to leave, needless to say waste of money as no one wanted to wait at that point for me to drink it all. The steak and scallops had so much teriyaki you could taste the food itself. Not sure if our server was over booked or what but was not even slightly attentive. I would not recommend this place and will not be going back.

Shogun is one of my favorite places to eat. The food is always fresh, and there's an adorable robot cat that greets you, which adds a fun touch to the experience. The atmosphere is also fantastic. The only downside I've encountered is the wait time for the food; the longest I've had to wait was around an hour. Aside from that long wait, it's a wonderful restaurant to enjoy a meal.
