In 1984, the Hillsdale NJ ShopRite caught fire from a real Christmas tree that ignited (against the fire code). Today (2022) there is another real Christmas tree displayed in the store. Those Who Do Not Learn History Are Doomed To Repeat It. Manager Callahan, please remove it as requested for the safety of your staff and customers. Update, the Christmas tree was removed, the management was cooperative and indicated that public safety was of their utmost concern. Thank you
They consistently have everything I need. My only issue is with the design and construction of their parking lot. Additionally, I prefer the metal shopping carts over the plastic ones, as the plastic ones tend to break too easily. Yes, it can get busy, but there's a good reason for that. I really enjoy the deli and fish market!
Far better since their remodel. It is now a competitive super market. Previously it was a tired and rundown facility. But because of the collapse of A&P, new players moved into Hillsdale and the surrounding towns, significantly upping the competition. Shoprite responded in kind. They are far better than before

All the items here are priced too high. A better option is LIDL in Park Ridge, where you can find lower prices and friendly staff.
I shop every week and every week there are so many items that are not available! I will be changing my supermarket!
