unbelievable meal in Sienna! we have appeared without reservations and they found us a table in the front window within minutes! what a happiness, and it was just better. we started with a few glasses wein from their huge selection and shared the arrancia con brasato, three Risotto balls with braided short rib inside and served with demi-glacier. they were perfect! my rigatoni norcina was perfect al dente, with a baked mushroom cream sauce and ground fresh sausage. saw, silky and rich with a cloud of white truffle oil. my gf loved the pollo con risotto zucca, a few grilled chicken breasts sitting on the best risotto she had. the delicate honey crimson sauce was perfectly balanced...read more
It is okay. I give them credit for breaking away from the tedious red sauce/boxed pasta traditions of all the other italian' places on Federal Hill, and this place does have some nice dishes. The veal limone was quite good especially when paired with some oven-roasted asparagus. Service was also excellent, from beginning to end. They are nowhere near the level of truly authentic Italian food that you would find at Al Forno but they do rise above most of the competition in the area.

I was delighted to receive this recommendation from one of our suppliers for this fine restaurant. a short stint at the bar during the waiting allowed me to bump into a pretty good harpoon ipa. the service was particularly good with frequent stops due to the length of time to get the food on the table, it was not exaggerated when they adapt and wait for the amount.
Dont understand the hype. I'm sorry, but I just don't understand the hype. The place is always packed, but the meals I've had have been average. I keep trying it and it keeps disappointing. I've been there or so times over the past couple years and just avoid it nowadays. So many options on Federal Hill, just keep it moving.

Bad evening. Visted Siena for time. First two experinces much better. This however was a nightmare. Poor service, very warm wine, worse veal dinner ever Saltimbocca ever, tasted like beef jerkey, no sauce, small portions, also..worse calamari on the hill. Party of four two bottles of wine, spent A dud event, too noisy too.
Sienna providence restaurant. Probably one of the worst italian dinners we've ever had !! pasty coating on the veal, mushy gnocchi and no pasta served with our dinners. they actually served veal saltimbocca and veal limone with green beans and some horrible whole wheat bulgar type side. iTALIAN ??? I DON'T THINK SO!!
Visited last nifht with a friend. His steak was overcooked sent it back. The steak (i was already eating dessert) was just as burnt! The owner came over to our table to fight with us about it. Very disappointed!!!
this is one of my favorite places in ri. eating is always great and quite authentic. the pizza is excellent, and they have great risotto. I recommend it very much!

an exquisite Italian cuisine. outstanding staff, very generous portions and welcoming atmosphere. recommend it to anyone who has a good meal and a night outside.
Everything was good. Nothing spectacular. Root beer float dessert was moneyy.
