Went to the Six Bells for the first time ever, enticed by their recent Facebook post about their new Autumnal menu. On first impression, it looks like a lovely, quaint country pub with thatched roof and cosy period interior. Arrived to find several items were off the menu, including the pork, the fish and chips and to my utter disappointment the beef casserole and dumplings: this was something I was really looking forward to trying as well, so the visit wasn't perhaps off to the best of starts. My husband opted for the ham, egg and chips, and I went for the sausages and mash. My husband enjoyed his and cleared his plate. I found the sausage a tad overpowering and very peppery. Called last minute during a Sunday Lunch and the team went out of their way to squeeze us in. Lovely pub in a beautiful setting. Went for the beautiful roast pork. Friendly, welcoming staff, quick service and relaxing experience. Prices were fair.
We were having dinner and the England and South Africa rugby semi-final was playing. When we came out and saw that we were commenting on the game, they invited us to sit down. Great food and service. This little pub is worth visiting.
Really friendly and welcoming service from everyone there with fantastic food sensational melting Brie burger and beef burger, with loaded potato skins to start, and excellent brakesprears beer. Awesome thank you!

I stumbled upon this restaurant by accident. I stopped in for a drink on my way back from Reading Station. It's a nice place, it's a shame I don't live closer because I would definitely be a regular here.
We went for a Sunday roast and we absolutely loved it. Great food, great selection of drinks, great atmosphere. Our favourite in the area!
Unfortunately, the restaurant is closed due to the devastation caused by the Elite and Fake virus in the UK.
The Sunday lunch was excellent, so was the service. Wifi was broken which was a pity (first world problems).
