FLAWLESS! I grew up in the area and recently came home to visit family. We stopped in this little restaurant for a late lunch and I was blown away. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was great but most importantly Skip was phenomenal. You very rarely see the owner working in the dining area, interacting with customers and genuinely caring about the experience. He sat down with people while they ate, ensured the food was great, refilled our soft drinks when he noticed they were getting low, gave plenty of handshakes and hugs when people were leaving the restaurant and even made it a point to walk over and open the door for people as they were exiting. Have been going to Skip’s for several years now since being in the Carmichael area. Have always enjoyed their Western burger with fries! The last few times I’ve been there the patties of the burger were not put together very well and the patty just crumbled apart making it very difficult to eat. While this was annoying the flavor was still very good. I would go back, but maybe would order their wings or salads instead.
Such an adorable neighborhood restaurant. Great vibes and cordial service. The joker game is a bonus thrill! We ordered the 3 chicken sliders and got the Swiss cheese burgers instead but it was really delicious. I recommend to not do take out since the texture of most the food doesn’t travel well. The beef Wellington was a delight as well! Will definitely return when in the area!
Excellent food. They ACTUALLY HAVE a CHEF! Service is AAAAA. Although you order up front, they bring your food to you and always check up on what ever you may need. Very reasonable priced. If you're lucky you may draw the Joker card and get the whole ticket paid for. 2 weeks ago we drew the Joker card and got dinner on SKIPS! Everything is prepared fresh. Well worth checking out!

It was a full house yet I was immediately met with great customer service ready to take my order and I was surprised how fast my bacon and cheddar burger with criss cut fries came out hot and perfectly cooked. It was an amazing meal and great atmosphere I see why they were packed with people. I'm definitely coming back soon.
As a burger lover, really enjoyed the Western Burger. Family with me enjoyed theirs as well. The BOM sliders that wife had were amazing. The Snicker doodle ice cream sandwich was great on a hot day. Service was very attentive and friendly.
We ordered the pastrami with sweet potato fries and pork sliders with criss-cut fries. Large portion, but they weren't hot. Otherwise, food was good.
You won't find a restaurant with this type of service in the modern day. Great food great people
