READ THIS BEFORE BOOKING YOUR WEDDING!!!! Attended a wedding/afternoon tea reception. The first thing that you are greeted with upon arrival isn 't a lovely sign to welcome you to the wedding of your family members, NO, it 's a great big sign saying you can 't consume your own booze, accompanied by at least a dozen CCTV cameras, (guest surveillance). This to me was a red flag the moment we arrived. The scenery is stunning but we were 'herded ' into a wooden structure and not allowed outside onto the grass in case we damaged it even though there hadn 't been rain for two days. I used to love this place when it was a café, but I was extremely disappointed when I attended a recent wedding here. I was surprised that they were unable to offer any hot drinks other than tea. When I requested coffee, I was informed that they no longer had a coffee machine. The lunch provided was subpar, so my party ended up going to a nearby McDonald's for sustenance and a decent cup of coffee. The staff were not very friendly, and, as mentioned in other reviews, they were not dressed professionally, wearing sports tops instead. This lack of respect for the event was unprofessional. We had a really wonderful August wedding day at Skylark Farm. We chose Skylark for its beautiful views and relaxed atmosphere. Sam, Dave and the staff did an excellent job of looking after our guests and coordinating the day. We chose the table carvery option for our wedding breakfast which our guests loved the meats were cooked beautifully and the vegetables were delicious! For the evening we had a pizza buffet, which was a selection of freshly made pizzas out of the outdoor pizza oven. We would definitely recommend Skylark for your wedding venue!
Attended a wedding and have to say the service was amazing! The setting is just stunning the owners should be so so so so proud of their wedding venue. The gentleman who was running the wedding was so smartly dressed and also available at all times (very professional) The waiter and waitress was lovely so friendly and what was more nice is they was actually enjoying themselves while working. I had a fantastic experience at my daughter's wedding at this venue. I would like to express my gratitude to the incredible team who went above and beyond for the bride, groom, and all the guests. We had a fantastic day at this beautiful venue for a wedding. Special thanks to Sam and Paul for keeping the bride happy, and to Jake for ensuring everything ran smoothly. The only feedback I have is that I am dairy and nut free, but there were peanuts on my dessert. However, the issue was quickly resolved and I received the correct dessert.
A huge thankyou to all the wonderful staff at Skylark for making Scott and Anna's wedding day perfect. The setting of the venue is amazing, the food was delicious, both the main meal and the barbecue at night. Would highly recommend.
