We were in the area and looking for vegan food and this came up on our Google Maps list of vegan food places in the area. We arrived at the Highland Park location and were nicely welcomed by the greeter who seated us outside at our request. The server took our order and was equally nice and fortunately, she seemed knowledgeable about vegan options, telling us that the crust was vegan and although they didn't have any vegan protein options (i.e. tofu, plant-based sausage, etc. like many other places do), they did have vegan cheese and the tomato sauce was vegan. Well, I have a new favorite in town! Slyce has my favorite pizza and the tastiest meatballs I 've eaten! I ordered take out last night and we were there to pick up right as everything came out of the oven! We ordered the pepperoni and sausage pizza, and the Nonna 's meatballs with garlic bread and Sunday salad. The pizza crust has an amazing flavor and part of that is due to the coal fired oven. The sauce is out of this world good; seasoned to perfection and evidently simmered, three days ...hence the name, Three day sauce . Nice family friendly pizzeria We took a group of 9 here for dinner and we're pleased with the Family vibe and pizza! Our sever was pleasant and available. The wings with the lemon sauce were enjoyed as were the meatballs. The latter has a nice flavor and sauce along with a nice side of bread. The large classic salad fed all of us despite arriving with NO dressing. My companions weren't happy that I was grumbling about plain salad which they insisted had dressing until we asked for more dressing and it was clear to all that I was correct. Service and staff were terrific! But the food? Not very good. We ordered the artichoke dip to begin. The artichoke's were cold, while the top was browned and bubbly: this tells us that it was pre-made and possibly frozen. I ordered a pizza with olive oil and oyster mushrooms. The mushrooms were almost non-existent flakes. The crust was awesome but I wanted Pizza- it is as much about the bread as the toppings. I wasn't going to complain- not my style. But the manager was on top of his game and came over to see if we were happy. He offered to credit us the topping and asked if I wanted a side bowl of mushrooms. Great front end. Kitchen? This is my new favorite pizza place! My friend and I split a plain pizza and it was delicious! We also got the baked cippollini and whipped cheese which was very good and the bread that came with it was incredible. I wish the artichoke or goat cheese dips were available without red peppers so I could try those. Our waitress was so nice and brought us more bread when we said how good it was. I can't wait to come back and have more delicious pizza!
My family was there last night. 11 of us. Great food and outstanding service from our waitress gabby. Appetizers and pizza were all great and timed well. Gabby came by at appropriate times both to fill water glasses and make sure all was ok with us. Highly recommend Slyce. My only regret was the weather kept us from eating outside. We will definitely be back.

Love this place! Staff is always super friendly and the pizza is always consistently delicious. Only complaint (and it's the whole street) but parking is horrible.
