While we were lucky to be seated inside, as Old Town can be quite noisy on a Friday night, the ambiance was decent. We ordered drinks that were quite overpriced, and they were just mediocre; nothing impressive. We started with the feta appetizer at our server's recommendation, but it was subpar. The Brussels sprouts were acceptable but nothing special either. We ordered two cioppinos, a burger, and steak frites. The burger was fine—it's a burger after all. However, the cioppino was a letdown; it had no broth and came with grilled bread. The mussels were either undercooked or did not open, which means they were bad. While the fish on top was quite good, I had ordered cioppino, not just fish....
We 've walked by this place sooo often each time it was packed. We loved the ambiance, the look feel of a welcoming comfortable outdoor country lounge. Well, we finally had a chance to come in for lunch, although it was really hot breezy we sat inside there wasn 't outdoor seating available inside the was a cool looking place, hip, loungy ..(sp). The food was amazing, the steak salad, wow! I had a bite or 3 from my wife 's, I ordered breakfast! It was also really delicious! We will for sure be bk! My only thing was that it was FREEZING cold inside! So if you 're in the mood for a fun outdoor or indoor country lounge atmosphere, I recommend you come to Small Barn! Come on in enjoy a fire pit...
Unfortunately the service I had here has made my experience in Temecula horrible. I honestly was 30 min late and the staff complained about it but still decided to give me service. I apologized for being late. Sadly they sat me in the smallest table near the restrooms and then my food came 45 min late but cold. I asked for the manager, manager was so unprofessional and confrontational to me that made my wife uncomfortable. We tried to reason with them and manager was yelling at my ear that the reason why my food was late and cold was due to my negligence of being tardy to my reservation. The service was friendly, but I did find myself waiting a bit longer than expected—around 30 to 40 minutes—despite being with just one other person. We started with the Herb Pomme Frites, which resembled truffle fries and came with a delicious sauce. While the fries were pretty standard, the sauce was incredibly tasty and full of flavor. I ordered a burger with a side of fries, but I wasn't a huge fan of it; I found it a bit too salty for my taste. The saltiness overshadowed the meat and made the rest of the flavors seem bland. As someone who works in the wine industry, my company frequently takes us to upscale dining establishments in Napa, Sonoma, and Sacramento, and this restaurant ranks among the best. Every dish was cooked to perfection, and the flavor and texture combinations were vibrant and memorable. The cocktails were a big hit with the team as well. Each presentation was as stunning as the food was delicious. Our server was both charming and attentive. Overall, I would rate the food a 5 out of 5.
I've dined here for the second time and it was fantastic! They were out of the wine I wanted to order and didn't have any Bloody Marys available, but at the end of our meal, the staff brought us a delightful dessert to make up for the inconvenience. Now that's what I call great customer service! They even relocated our table to avoid the sun. The food was amazing, and the service was excellent! If you're in Temecula, this place is a must-visit!
Small Barn is a delight. The design motif in the restaurant and garden areas has bougie boutique charm and the service is warm and friendly. The food is very good it may err a bit on the side of being pretentious but it is still good. It's a great place for a date or a family celebration.

Super atmosphere, and a couple of meals you can't find anywhere!! that tomahawk steak is as good as you will find anywhere. And the fish the best in the county! A real gem of a place in Old Town.
