Was visiting relatives and we decided to have fish and chips normally we go to Rosegreen but this time we decided to try somewhere new. We were not disappointed the chips were cooked perfectly with the bonus of some crispy bits. The fish was delicious firm and chunky and was not greasy at all. The home made fish cake will be ordered again next time we visit. A lovely old fashioned chip shop with friendly staff.
This restaurant serves fish and chips that are more reminiscent of pub fare than a traditional chippy. The chips appear to be pre-cooked catering chips instead of freshly hand-cut ones, lacking the firmness of fresh chips. The fish seems to be prepared in a similar way to cook-chill methods, leading me to doubt that it is freshly battered in-house.

Would definitely recommend here as was reasonably priced unlike the fish an chips on site at haven which were horrible

We had fish and scampi which were delicious but chips were awful Nothing like the usual small fry Will still try again but a bit disappointed I know the Chinese in middleton used it many times
Absolutely delicious fish, chips and mushy peas, with homemade tartar sauce. All packaged up beautifully and with such friendly service. It really cheered up a rainy Saturday! 100% recommend.
