I came here first in February during a rainstorm and again after that. On returning to Tavira I had to stop by again and really was not disappointed. The food was wonderful, the waiting staff were patient and gave good assistance with wine choices. It was busy, but the food was just as you would expext- perfectly cooked and delicious. There was no rush! The owner called a taxi for us too. A great all round service in a Jewell of an eatery. It is frequented by locals and tourists alike , all given the same friendly service and welcome. Fantastico!!!
It doesn´t matter what time of day you arrive there is something to eat for everyone. I also think that the menu offered by Carlos and his lovely wife is one of the best value for money in the area. After the afternoon service, there is still a great variety of tapas and tostas, great chilled wines and beers too! I would recommend the dried tuna on toast, the cod salad and, for me, always the prawns in garlic, ooh and the Algarvean carrots. Well worth a visit.
Came across this little restaurant when we were going to the beach ,we had salad mountain ! Salad with fresh tuna ,grilled catch of the day and lots of homemade chips and cokes ,all were delicious and fresh served with a smile by the proprietor.We returned again on our last day of our holidays for lunch and it was equally as good .i would highly recommend this place for a fresh delicious home cooked meal.Lunch with drinks for family of 5 €43.50.
We ate here several times last year and again several times this year. You can't go wrong. The food is delicious. Perfectly cooked and incredible value. I could eat those prawns every day (and did my best to on holiday). We also loved the clams, anchovies, Algarvian carrots, Mountain Salad, sardines and Dourada. We had the swordfish steaks and tuna belly, which came with sweet potato, boiled potato and salad. All were fresh, delicious and served with a smile. We got a taxi from Tavira costing 5 euros and the waiter called for a return taxi for us which arrived within ten minutes. Be aware that the bread, olives and sardine pate that arrived to start are charged.
Probably one of the best meals I had in Portugal. I tried the octopus salad which was delicious and shared the grelhada mixta with my niece. The meat was so flavorful, the plate was huge (4 pieces of meat), and all for 8 euros! It doesn't get better than this. We were literally talking about it for days afterward. Plus, they have wifi, bonus!
Situated in the small but beautiful town of Santa Luzia. This restaurant is ideal for light lunch/dinner. A small but varied menu which offers tapas at a reasonable price and very good quality. All staff are friendly and happy to explain the menu in detail. I have visited quite a few times and will continue to frequent this restaurant.
We had a good inexpensive meal in this restaurant on a day out in Tavira and Santa Luzia. The portion sizes for the swordfish and the tuna were good and these tasty, well-cooked dishes were good value. The house wine was also good. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
