Went here on a Saturday after Farmer 's Market. They had 'lunch special ' menu with quite a few items. I 'm pretty familiar with Thai food but I was with my mother and she wasn 't so I kept it simple by ordering Green Curry with chicken, Cashew...Chicken and Almond with beef. (this was the servers suggestion for my mother as the other two dishes were chicken although I have never heard or seen 'almond beef ' before. The food came out hot and was presented very nicely, but it was not very authentic in my opinion. both the 'cashew chicken ' and the 'almond beef ' were exactly the same sauce except that the kind of nut and the meat. A delightful Thai restaurant with a bright and well decorated interior. Parking is abit difficult in the front of the building as it is small. The menu has many selections from stirfries, soups and numerous noodle dishes. There are alcoholic drinks and the menu also...has a dessert section. We choose 3 separate dishes, pad Thai, cashew stirfry and a glass noodle dish. Each dish was freshly made with a good balance of vegetables and enormous portions. that is our second time to order food here since the new family took over some weeks ago. my favorite bassil torch breakfast was so hot it distorted the big taste of the plate. When we ordered the second time, we first mentioned that it was hot, so the second time it was even hotter. Really, what happened to ask for mild, the last time we were there. as always you get an official mistake this time. I'm back and I'll try again.
We had the shrimp salad roll appetizer -4 tools with peanut sauce was great for 2 people. Main courses were curry with seafood and teriyaki chicken, both served with coconut rice. Curry was just the right level of heat. Teriyaki sauce was good, but not...great. Wine was reasonably priced.
eating is always amazing! my favorite is the swim rama! her panang curry is delicious and authentic. Pre-Covid we spent 3 weeks on the beaten stretch thailand and eating in st albert was the second only on a small island where the older grandmother...still cook for guests.
This was my second visit to Songkran, I enjoyed it so much. I’ve recently become aware of an msg allergy, and was thrilled to find out that it isn’t used. I ordered green curry with beef and coconut rice. It was the perfect size, delicious...and arrived hot.
I went to songkran thai before the original cook died, and now they have been there after the family continued the business. it was still delicious and the family has honored their memory with the continued service and comfortable atmosphere. will be back.
Friendly staff, good food options; just off St. Albert Tr and St. Anne . Parking a bit tricky but possible on street as well.
One of my favorite Thai places ever. Great service and outstanding cuisine. I order from here on a regular basis.
