Very, very nice experience! We did a double date with some friends of ours at this small, wife and husband owned BYOB. The atmosphere was rich in quality. You can smell the aromas of food as you walk up to the establishment. It is small, but that added to the experience for me! This is the only Sontuosa and I like finding restaurants that aren't franchised. The menu is compact, which is great because you can focus on putting out quality products. First time to this BYO in Bryn Mawr. The service was very good and we had some nice conversations with the hostess, the waiter, and the owner (he is a gem). Unfortunately the food was good, but unremarkable. Nothing overtly creative or unique that would differentiate the preparation. The meatballs were lukewarm and needed some seasoning. DON'T Walk... RUN! to this place for a great lunch or dinner. Went here for a catered early dinner and it was absolutely fantastic. PROS: Ownership is very involved with customers. Gave us their undivided attention. The catering service was great. Pasta is an 8 of 10, Pizza is a 9 out of 10. Parking was relatively easy. Food preparation area open. Service was fast and friendly. Sontuosa Bryn Mawr Lovely al fresco dining tonight and my little dude got to watch trains go by. We had the grilled calamari, meatballs, fresh bread with sweet fresh ricotta, chicken, Salmon, branzino, aubergine eggplant with ground lamb and chocolate mousse layer cake and blueberry crumble. Our favorites were the chocolate layer cake and grilled calamari... so nice to see it prepared a different way besides fried. Four diners had 3 appetizers, Truffle gnocchi lemon chicken soup. a salad 4 entrees Branzino. Chicken piccata Osso bucco. Pork chop 3 desserts Tres leches. Tiramisu. Blueberry crumble 100% Happiness and deliciousness Service was slow looked they they were down servers . Mary and Ernesto are great hosts. 2 of us have been here a few times sitting outside , but indoors was a relaxed environment. We recommend it to everyone
Had another wonderful dinner, thanks to our gracious hosts, Mary and Ernesto. Love their Aubergine with lamb. Also, Pork Osso Bucco and Grilled Calamari. Also loved that they had no music playing, so it kept the noise level down to allow for easy conversation.
what a great little restaurant. a very beautiful intimate atmosphere with great food and a lot of specialties. it has become our way to our favorite restaurant. last, my favorite thing was the aubergine (eggplant) and lamb shell amazing.
