My friend and I went a little crazy with our order since it was our first time and I struggle with making tough decisions at bbq restaurants. The only thing I knew for certain was that the HUSH PUPPIES were going down. I have a weakness for smoked and then fried chicken wings and pulled pork and Mac n cheese. Greg and Ian were incredible! We ordered catering for an event with around 50 guests, and everyone raved about how delicious the food was. We had some leftovers, and everyone was thrilled to take some home, especially the brisket and mac and cheese. The communication with them was excellent throughout the planning process, and they were very accommodating when I mentioned the various dietary restrictions due to allergies. The food was outstanding, and the people were fantastic— we highly recommend them! Dietary restrictions: They offered excellent gluten-free options and provided ingredient lists for the additional allergies in our group.
It 's great. It 's not Omg best BBQ I 've ever had!!! great but if you are in the mood for some absolutely solid BBQ, there is no reason not to go here. And it 's not good it 's great. Brisket cheesesteak was really well balanced and flavorful smoky brisket, just enough sweet caramelized onions, and just the right amount of cooper sharp, all on a nice soft bun. Wish it were a little bigger, but when you go up in quality you 'll of course go down in quantity, so this isn 't really a fair complaint.Hush puppies were probably good, but just not my thing. BBQ beans were excellent, and the collard greens had a nice kick to them.

Really good bbq place!! Came here for dinner. Was able to make a reservation online. We ordered a shareable of the sweet potato hush puppies. Holy cow. Biggest hush puppies ever! These things are giant. My daughter and I shared the bbq platter. We got the chicken. It was delicious. Very tender. The cornbread that came with it was so good! Our two sides were baked beans and mac and cheese. Daughter loved the mac and cheese. I didn't love the baked beans. I would not get those again. Overall a great experience. I would come here again.
So In keeping with the Support Local Business we Gave Sophie's a chance today. We are Wilson's thru and Thru, but wanted to give it a chance. Brisket is the only thing we tried, both the Brisket Cheesteak and the Sandwich. On a scale of 1-10 i'm sorry but I am giving it a 2. Brisket is supposed to have Gristle. But it's supposed to be yummy and not chewy. it missed the mark in a big way. ON a plus side, the Hushpuppies and Cornbread where FANTASTIC.
The meat was good (I'd say somewhere between Mission BBQ and Brooklyn, as far as relatively local places go) but the sides were better than either. Plenty of food, and the staff was very friendly. We had the brisket and ribs, next time we want to try the chicken and the smoked sausage.
I heard what happened last night and I am so sorry about the fire that broke out. I live in Havertown and they serve good food and great service. My prayers go out to those who work and own the place, and may God provide for your needs in this time.???

Excellent food and outstanding service! Even at their temporary location in Audubon, the food was incredible. I've tried most BBQ spots in the area, and Sophie’s is by far the best. I can't wait to return!
I stopped by Bald Birds in Audubon and enjoyed a brisket sandwich with fries from Sophie's. The service was excellent, and the brisket was some of the best I've ever tasted. I highly recommend it!
