We enjoyed a sunset meal and drink with friends on the South Perth foreshore of Sir James Mitchell Park. Some tables and chairs are provided in front of the vans, but many people brought their own picnic blankets and chairs to set up away from...the crowd and allow the kids to run and play between courses. There were 5 vans the night we went serving: North American deep-fry, Asian dumpling/bao, ice-creams and coffee, Lebanese and Indonesian. Our group had the pork and veggie bao 12 each and filling) and a fantastic beef rendang and rice from the Indonesian 12). We had this with BYO wine and water and enjoyed the fresh air and changing view across the Swan towards the CBD. Just magic!
South Perth is a rapidly developing area on the Swan river, with stunning views across to the Central Business District a kilometre or so away across the river. This Café, more accurately described as a Café/Restaurant, is a few metres from the foreshore. It offers...a large and varied menu, and the portions are generous. I enjoyed a variation on the all-day breakfast, for lunch, and the service was prompt and friendly. Definitely recommended for a quality meal, with any dish you might fancy from the many choices available.
During the warmer months, food trucks will gather at Sir James Mitchell Park on the South Perth foreshore to feed the many hungry diners. The selection of food available depends on the trucks that show up, but South Perth's streets look promising for the upcoming summer. Located at the start of Mill Point Road near the Narrows Bridge, it's a great spot for a variety of delicious dining options.

I had a terrible experience with the staff. They were rude to a senior with breathing problems. However, the atmosphere was pleasant. I will not be returning.
