Went for a lunch with my family for a birthday. All food was ordered at the around the same time maximum 2 minutes between each other. All food came out promptly, well cooked. Possibly over cooked. We waited 10 minutes after the second last meal for the last meal to be delivered to the table. Average flavour, lots of oil (Food was the best part of the visit). The staff working at the time were very loud and talking amongst themselves but so the whole venue could hear them. Not one person asked how our meals were! Staff then sat at the table beside us ate their lunch I'm assuming and proceeded to loudly and obnoxiously talk amongst each other with no consideration for the patrons currently in...
Had dinner while staying nearby. The location is great & in summer would be even better. Plenty of room but was pretty busy when we were there. Drinks are reasonably priced & the staff were friendly & pleasant. There was a Good selection of meals to choose from catering for all palettes. I had pork belly which was tasty, well cooked & an ample size. My partner had the steak which tasted good and he was happy with. The meals came out with only a short wait due to being so busy & the staff were very friendly with good customer service. I would definitely visit here again if I was back in the area even if only for a drink. Nice spot to people watch at the markets below.
My girlfriend and I were strolling around southbank during our final evening in Brisbane and were looking for a feed. This place took our eye as it was very well lit, and looked very inviting - the menu also looked incredible.We sat down and ordered, but that's where the enjoyment ended. We ordered a pulled pork burger which was dry and overdone, and popcorn chicken which was also bland and of low quality.It was a massive shame, as the venue is actually quite nice and would make a great joint for a few evening drinks, but I think we will try our luck elsewhere next time we visit.
Overlooks the Brisbane river. Food and drinks reasonably priced. We had beers and a couple of side plates - twice cooked chips and chips with chilli. Both ok for the price. Nothing good or bad happened when we were there. Just your typical beer garden although it has to be said that there is not much garden. Nevertheless, we had a good time and it is somewhere I would go back to in a heartbeat.
We went here for breakfast and enjoyed being on the side balcony enjoying the views and people watching. We ordered our meals and drinks at the bar. The meals came out at different times and one meal was forgotten but they did refund that meal. Drinks also came at odd times. The toilets were revolting. Food was average. Stop in for a bevvy and enjoy the view, but that's all I'd do here.
Called in for a Sunday lunch as the menu sounded great.Bruschetta was tasteless. Duck spring rolls soaked and DRIPPING oil.Chicken in burger was raw. Chips very overcooked.Shame, as location is really nice.Chicken burger cost was refunded without any issue.
We headed to the Southbank Beer Garden for a beer on a sunny Saturday afternoon and enjoyed the experience.We didn't eat here so can't make a comment on that.It is a pity there is work going on at the pool as it spoilt the view.
I had my engagement party in the river room at Southbank beer garden and they were fantastic! They took such great care of me and my fiancé and I would recommend for anyone wanting to book an event.
Should have known breakfast at a pub would be no good. Under cooked bacon and eggs, staff eye rolled because I wanted butter on my bread. Buy beer, not food
