Such a great little deli! We stumbled upon this location as part of a trolley tour around Nashville and absolutely loved the lunch here! The counter-service deli team was friendly and efficient and the lunch spot would be the sort of deli you could hit up all the time if you lived or worked in the area. I opted for the BLT which was served on toasted sourdough and featured perfectly crisp bacon and salt and pepper along with mayo. A perfectly constructed BLT! Others in the party all raved about their sandwiches and not a single complaint was heard. The menu board had some really awesome sounding options and if I were to find myself back at Southern Engine Deli there would be more than a few...
Selected Southern Engine because it was convenient and will be back because of the fabulous food. Great, efficient service. Cool options for sodas IBC, Cheerwine, etc. Lots of options for meal size full, half, sandwich and soup or salad, etc. Lunch here was exactly what we needed!
If you a an amazing Sandwich experience in Nashville I would definitely recommend the southern engine deli as my top choice in Nashville. Great customer service and unmatched quality of sandwiches!

As a local, This is one of my favorite Delis in Nashville!! Fantastic food and sandwiches, great quality, and such a sweet family that runs it!
Very good food. Had a Reuben and French Dip, both had very generous amount of ingredients and tasted great. Would definitely eat here again.

Staff is very welcoming. They are not skimpy on their sandwiches! Food was brought out to us pretty fast!
