The food was very good this time around, flavor was on par and not too salty. This is my fifth time to this restaurant and in the past the service was excellent. However, on Friday, May 17, 2024, the waiter was rather rude when I asked if we could add another item to our order. His response was, Do you see all the other tables I also serve? and walked away even though he was standing right next to my table. After making it obvious that he was very busy, he came by our table 10 minutes later and asked what we wanted to add. I asked to add a Caesar salad to our order and he replied, This is why you flagged me down, to add ONE SALAD (he emphasized) to your order? We had already ordered three ot...
Our group of 4 was seated near the kitchen which was fine but it was loud. It was too hot to be outside. Our server, Walker, arrived in the first couple of minutes to take our drink order. My wife had a mixed drink that she enjoyed. We ordered the Ahi Tuna Crisps for an appetizer. Walker did ask if that was all we wanted but didn't say it was a very small portion. It was 6 pieces but very good. I wish we had received a larger portion for the price. The main courses we ordered were an Italian Chopped Salad, Spaghetti with Meatball, NY Strip and Chicken Mushroom Risotto. All were very good and I felt the value was good for all of the entrees. This restaurant is good value. There is a good selection of food and our choices were tasty. We split a pear salad but it did not come out with the almonds on the side as we requested. The Bolognese and chicken mushroom risotto were delicious. One minor complaint- the main came out before we were finished with our salad, so we had the sensation of being rushed. I think this is a result of the dishes being delivered from the kitchen by a person other than our server and therefore he could not control the timing. Great service otherwise. The atmosphere is that of a neighborhood restaurant where one is most likely to encounter someone they know.
We ordered the mushroom, chicken risotto and lasagna. We split them and the kitchen sent them out as split servings which was very nice. Both were excellent. And there was enough to take home for the next meal. The hostesses were very nice and our waiter did a fine job too. The food is so good but the service is so bad. We waited 10 minutes to be greeted after being sat at our table. Drinks took another 20 minutes. Food took Forever. Ordering more drinks took About 25 minutes. The server messed up one order and our guest didn't get their food until everyone else was done. There really seems to be no sense of urgency whatsoever.
Our waitress was delightful. She could not have been better. Our food was just okay. There was plenty of it but it was very average. I had cheese ravioli and it was topped with rosemary. I did not taste the ravioli....just the rosemary. It overpowered the dish. Otherwise, the prices were very reasonable. The best part of the evening was our waitress.
First time trying Spasso and was blown away by how good the food is! We got the steak fondue from the apps menu, and the wings and truffle fries from the happy hour menu. Everything was super yummy! Especially the steak fondue, definitely getting it again next time!
Great place for a date night! Food was delicious, service was friendly, the vibe of the restaurant was lovely and welcoming. All the staff we encountered were great and made our 1st visit wonderful. We will definitely be back! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Best walleye dinner in the Twin Cities. Spasso has excellent service, an awesome patio, and is both family-friendly and date-night friendly. John was a great waiter and helped create a nice evening out!
